* l see lawsuits. Perhaps they will not talk about the bible's view of fornication and divorce. What's next, having baptisms in school?

Oklahoma Superintendent of Public Instruction Ryan Walters to teach Bible lessons in public school classrooms. Walters mandate to force bible lessons on students comes as many Republican-led states have pushed for more religion specifically Christianity in public schools.

Forget the fact the First Amendment prohibits an establishment of religion, some of the things written in the bible are very problematic. Exodus 21:2-11 and Leviticus 25:44-46 not only condone slavery, it explains how slave owners can trick their Hebrew slaves and the correct way to beat their slaves.

A survey revealed that of the 54 superintendents who responded, 46 stated that they would not be pushing for their teachers to teach from the Bible. Doesn't say which of the thousands of Christian Dogmas they will be required to teach.

Some of the recent grads can't even make change so it makes one wonder where Walter's and the state of Oklahoma's priorities are.... [ More ]
