I do agree about praying for everyone. I also know that you can't fool God if you have a cold heart and say the words people want to hear. Paris Hilton said she began to read the Bible and she found God too. Maybe they were both saved. I am not one to judge. Finding religion is glorious and wonderful. But when you "call on the Lord" for convenience it's hypocrisy. I am not judging him. I am the last one to criticize anyone for finding peace with God and I hope he truly turns his life... [ More ]

At this point in the game, color does not matter. After reading all of the comments, Whoopi is not the only racist, there are plently on this board. You all need to pray. Believe me, I know M. Vick was wrong, and I think he should pay for his misjudgement, but l hold no hard feeling about the man one way or the other. God will take care of it all. So what if the man what to call on his Lord, he has that right. You all need to pray. Man might not forgive him, but I know Our Lord will, because he is a forgiven God.... [ More ]

Sorry if I offended you, Tenaj. I should stay off of issues like this. I also rambled a bit too much and meant to delete that last paragraph. I also need to work and I'm getting "addicted" to the internet. This isn't my only message board. Wish using a computer wasn't part of my job. It's like giving an alcoholic a job as a bartender.

A Black friend of mine once said that rappers have disgraced Black people. She shakes her head when she hears them exploiting a culture that has fought hard to raise its image and build pride in its young people. When did dogfighting become part of the Black culture or even a regional "sport?" Anyway, Vick is a very wealthy athlete. He knew better. <br

Good point! I heard something about the other 50 dogs on the property were going to be euthanized. Vic has enough money and should be made to pay for the care of those dogs for the rest of their lives and make it a good life. And anyone saying "but those dogs are killers", so are lions and tigers and bears on my! But we keep them in zoos, sanctuary's etc... So it does appear to be more about the "MONEY" then the animals. I do want to add something in case I wasn't clear. Everyone is talking about the animal abuse. I think it's shocking. But this isn't about killing dogs at all. This is about illegal gambling. Pete Rose occasionally bet on some games. There wasn't even solid evidence against him. I love dogs, but putting the animal cruelty aside, Michael Vick was running a gambling operation. The media is playing on the emotions of the public and animal cruelty is a very important problem we need to address. However, I do not believe that is why he was indicted. Transporting dogs over state lines for the purpose of fighting them is a Federal Crime. I hate what he did to those poor dogs, but even if I hated animals, I'd still agree he broke the Law. Thanks for commenting, Coin Toss. I'm not so sure he should be banned from football. I think his career is finished, but if he serves his time, like an ex-con, he should be able to work in his field (no pun intended) I read a few comments that he might not be welcome because of the controversy. As I said before, I really don't know much about professional football. Regarding discrimination, Pete Rose didn't torture or drown anything, and AFAIK he still hasn't been inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame because a sportsman is supposed to represent "integrity & honesty."... People trying to make it a racial issue and coming to his defense calling it a black culture thing are just a bunch of imbeciles. Looking back, all John Rocker did was say some things and his career was toast. If Vick comes back to football I hope his offensive line doesn;t guard the QB too well and he gets creamed in a pile on. <br
