Funny how when Bush was elected these same people weren't talking about unity. All the unity talk is a bunch of garbage if you don't say the same thing when the other side wins. And they don't. It is so nice to see that now we are going to be united with the dems in charge. I can't wait for them to reach across the aisle and form a kanga line around the house and senate floors. I think you might want to ask Joe Lieberman about being united again with his good friend Harry Reid.

The media elected Obama, the people went along, no harm no foul. They've been trashing Bush for 9 years, and it finally worked. Democracy, yeah right, McCain/Feingold came right back and bit McCain, reaching across the aisle and his own dysfunctionality within his own party lost him the race. Beware of Dems bearing gifts and don't let your children grow up to be Dems.

Jarasan, if the Democrats are the majority, it is because the the people voted for them. Are you saying that to keep everything fair & balanced, we should change our way of selecting elected officials? For many years the Republicans had the majority, but suddenly you call it socialism when it's turned around. I just don't get it I guess. Over 65 million people said yes we can and you are saying no you can't because it's not what you want, it's not what you think. I guess we have different definitions of freedom & democracy.... Thank you Em! A tax plan makes not socialism. The dems in charge of three branches of govt. makes socialism. Just wait until they start stomping on free speech, private property rights, social issues, free markets, and individuality. Look across the pond to Europe and see what socialism has wrought.

In fact, Ronald Reagan's famous words against socialism (which Sarah Palin quoted in the VP debate) were from a speech denouncing Medicare. At a rally in 1980 Jimmy Carter said "Social Securityâ€”the Democrats put it forward; the Republicans called it socialism, communism.
