i like the idea of individual counties holding elections to determine if it is ok to sell lottery tickets in their respective counties, but it says that different counties would establish lotteries, then would the games be run by the state, or could different counties carry different games? either way, a lottery in NC is way overdue, and it looks like they are interested in more than multi-state games. it's nice to see a state starting up a lottery for reasons other than they can sell multi-stat... Georgia went through similar growing pains, long winded debates, moral and religious arguments prior to our getting the lottery.

If a lottery is going to be approved in North Carolina, this just might be the year.At least the 2005 session of the General Assembly appears to offer the best chance ever, for it to happen, said state Rep.
