September..29thTodd.....You and I are basically saying the same thing.....If the player doesn't play the multiplier and lets say he does get the first 5 numbers correct ...he cannot double his winnings...But if he does play the multiplier and get the first 5 correct, absent the powerball, he can double his winnings......However, he must get the first 5 correct to do so.....Maybe, the context of my initial blog, got lost in translation somewhere...LOLOLOLOLOL....I do play the Multiplier whe... Thank you everybody for answering my question. I gave some number to a friend in La and he did not call me about his winnings. Maybe the weather was the problem. However, it does not matter. 365 million in powerball isn't the same as the 363 million won in the Big Game. It's more like 305 million.

Well congrulations to the person in CO winning $1 million despite not hitting the red PB jackpot. I hope that PB reaches 340 and then 365 million and one ticket winning it all. MM's recent record attempt failed when a NJ couple won a 258 million jackpot.

No, the Power Play (multiplier) just means that if you buy it (for an extra $1 per ticket), any non-jackpot prize you win is multiplied by the number drawn (2-5).If you're not sure about any feature of Powerball, you should go to USA Mega. The FAQ page has Power Play info.

HAPPY 9/26........to all my proud LP MM members The Power Play multiplier was 5 I believe 713 is referring to the above....If I understand the way it works.....if you have just the powerball by itself you win $3.00, I know I have. However, in order to gain any benefit from the Multiplier ...you must have the first 5 numbers correct in sequential order and have the correct multiplier number as well.
