Very few raffles aren't dogs, and not the good kind of dog either. But even though there is only 1 top prize, the odds of winning are pretty much the same as a comparable raffle.

I would hope she is independent. But you know what, they are moaning about a a guy who got a good hit (not quick pick!) and they still complain, $250,000,000. So I am leaning democrat, just like the rest of the DC govt. that gets 7-8 billion a year from the feds and they don't know where the money goes. Billions, more than a lot of states, with about a population of 600,000 and an area of about 90 square miles. Par for the course. Oh well. Statehood

This game has been around for more than 15 years and all of a sudden this guy wins twice and the DC lottery decides to pull it? Something doesn't quite sound right to me about that.

Hmm...sounds familiar. A Washington D.C. game where people invest in a ticket and wait to see if they've won or lost? Only one top prize? Turns out to be a bad idea?

Her philosophy has been 'let's manage what we can control,'

I'm voting for Ms Michaels! Is she on the Democrat or Republican ticket

This raffle seems like a dog to me, one top prize. DC is computer drawn. When this guy hit 6X on two tix. it kinda made me feel better about playing computer drawn games, but for all we know they've readjusted the RNG, hard to say. The Rodmans store is one that I go to sometimes for PBall and Dc6. They have a great wine selection there, with advisors and all.

The D.C. Lottery's Quick Cash game had been around for more than 15 years when Todd Zimmerman walked into Rodman's Drugs in Northwest in February 2005 and bought two $1 tickets.

With three games on each ticket, the government contractor won the maximum $250,000 jackpot for each of the six games. But the improbable $1.5 million payout also helped put the D.C. Lottery's Quick Cash game more than $640,000 in the red for the year, records show.

Within months, the game was canceled, although lo... [ More ]
