The person drawing the numbers at least in nj they don't get to hold anything except a microphone, except when the machine malfunctions and they have to reach in and look the other way while fishing around for the next ball (yes, this happened). Otherwise the only thing they need is good looks and clear annunciation and a cheesy grin to the point they look like they're overjoyed that they watched a 7 come up when you had played a 1 . For the nj midday they only show the ball machines and a... [ More ]

You're right - sorry. Duh. Anyone see my brain running around? So maybe they need to hire the people on Sesame Street. I haven't seen it is a very long time, but don't they announce letters and numbers? So they could announce SIX and then show 6 little kittens and TWENTY-FIVE and show 25 baby robins.

Based on the publicity release, they do appear to be planning some kind of show based on the tryouts... they must be planning on pushing some buttons during auditions.

Let me... entertain you...

I guess I'm watching too many of those reality shows like American Idol Dancing With the Stars, etc. The first thing that came to mind with headlines like Georgia Lottery launches talent search.... I was imagining people standing on stage in front of 3 judges showing their scratching abilities or competing to see how long they could hold a numbered ball while smiling.

This story has been up top for the longest time....if they don't find someone soon then I suggest have a cyborg as the host or go to <cringe> computerized drawings. In nj the midday drawings just have a disembodied voice announcing the numbers as they are automatically drawn by the ball machines. I prefer that situation over a human hitting the buttons or computerization.

Also the person probably couldn't play Georgia lottery but what about in other States, or what about Mega Millions which i... [ More ]

i would give it a try ....but I don't think the person will be able to play lottery. I couldn't have a job that doesn't allow me to play lottery......although it would be cool to be that close to the ball machines
