IMO a person who wins a $1M lottery prize isn't really a millionaire as many of these $1M scratch games are annuitized amounts ($1M paid out over 10-20 years isn't the same as $1M in today's dollars), and in the cases where they are cash value, the winner has anywhere from 25 - 35% deducted for taxes. So it just irks me when all these different state lotteries make that claim in regards to their scratch-if games.

For sure. Haven't flown on Delta in 20 or so years and I still remember how silly it was to be able to get only 1 pack of peanuts back then.

A Delta flight attendant can fly the friendly skies as a new millionaire.

Kristen Diloreto of Cumming won $1 million playing the Georgia Lottery instant game Georgia's $500 Million Club.

The 40-year-old mother of three purchased the winning ticket at The Publix at 3480 Keith Bridge Road in Cumming. She scratched it in the car.

I was thrilled, she said. I took the ticket back to the store manager, and we both looked at each other in disbelief.
