I would not want a friend who would ask me for $5000 or even to co-sign for a loan that size. I've had friends who had a lot more than me and when I visited them, they would take me out to a fine restaurant and pick up the tab and when they visited me, I would take them to Mickey Dee and pick up the tab. I've never felt that my life style should depend on the amount of money my friends and relatives have and I would feel the same way if I ever won a lottery jackpot about their life style.... [ More ]

I would NOT want to see a friend win over a stranger. But here's why. How rare is it for two close friends to win the (same) lottery? I guess technically (or is it logically?) one really doesnt have much to do with the other but the odds of having a friend win the lottery and you winning it are huge!

I guess if one of my friends lived in Ohio or something and win Powerball and I live in CA and win our SuperLotto then I would be okay.

But If one of my friends won the lottery I truelly... [ More ]

I'm weak, I can't help it. I wouldn't ask for a thing, but I would definetly cry for about 2 months. Any friend can win........EXCEPT FOR ONE I KNOW................she'd rub it in till it was raw. She's very much into bling bling things and loves, loves, loves to talk about how perfect she is. lol In that case, your all wondering why she's my friend. Huuummmm.....beats me!

Even though you'd be happy seeing someone you know win.........would it kill you each time you see him/her enjoying every... [ More ]

The only way to determine if a State is Lucky is if you compare the number of tickets SOLD vs. the number of jackpot winners in a given period. I always thought Ohio was the one.

And I'd rather see a friend win than an unknown person, even if that friend didn't give me anything.

I would ask for $5000 personal check with a date. Also write up a dated contract for payment with friend. After all the checks has cleared then I would claim my jackpot. Use their money for my expenses while I plan for my future. I would not ask for cash because they would state that I used their money to buy tickets. After claiming my jackpot, I would reward them for their kindness. :P

God help me, I am bad.

I would ask all my friends for $5000 to see if who were truely my friends before claiming jackpot. Most likely they would decline. This would save alot of money after claiming jackpot. I'll bet they would not ask. LOL

Why do reporters and new organizations always expect the winner to come out on the next business day? Maybe this person will want to fly a bit under the radar.

It's only the third time in the last year and a half that there's been a Georgia winner though one was one of the two winners of the record breaking 390M in jackpot in March 2007, then that couple from Georgia from earlier this year and now whomever won last Friday.
