I agree with you and was just pointing lots of people will be playing judge, jury, and jailer before the defendant gets their turn. Grand juries only hear enough evidence to get an inditement.

Stack- the reason l came to this conclusion is the fact that Freya once worked in Rockdale Court Office as a consultant.This woman according to the Federal jury they did empanel figured out that she was savvy enough to take this lottery winner for a ride.l could very well be wrong, but all signs point to it.

The burden of proof is much less for a grand jury and is usually used to see if there is enough evidence to charge somebody. The defendant has all the same Constitutional Rights regardless of the what is decided in the court of public opinion .

You're probably 100% correct on what she should do, but I'm betting she will put up a fight, especially on Welfare fraud.

A Georgia woman has been indicted in Missouri on charges that stole nearly half a million dollars in lottery winnings from a 60-year-old victim.

Freya Pearson, 41, of Georgia and formerly of Kansas City, Mo., was charged last month in a nine-count indictment by a federal grand jury in Kansas City, according to Don Ledford, public affairs officer for the U.S. Attorney's Office in the Western District of Missouri.
