I once found $40 on the ground, inside a mall parking garage.

Folded up together. It caught my attention from about 60+ fee away.

There were no cars around, and no people nearby walking around either.

That's positively, absolutely the luckiest I've ever been, outside of lotto.

(and my state's lottery has yet to pay me anything significant)

The sad thing is, that I remember it was around Christmas time, and so it meant

I didn't say that I found five BUCKS.

I found five dollars! US American currency.

So, the $5 mega millions ticket I purchased the other day is now free.

I can see the headline now...$5 find turns into $260 million fortune

I found $5 on the ground as I was walking into my house today.

Nothing in comparison to scratching back-to-back winners for $11,000.

A Cecil County resident won back-to-back Maryland Lottery scratch-offs Thursday, according to officials with the Maryland State Lottery Agency.

The anonymous winner won $11,000 after purchasing two $100,000 Gold Rush scratch-offs from the Stop-N-Go in North East, officials reported.

Unlike other states, under Maryland's lottery regulations, the winner does not have to publicly identify themselves. Lottery officials reported the winner is a 67-year-old Elkton resident.
