I have had work colleagues who play occasionally, tell me that they don't check their tickets if they heard the jackpot was won eksewhere. This makes me wonder about their financial common sense.

l don't get your frustration, it's money they might miss out on. I could understand if you were part of a pool the person holding the ticket/ tickets skipped Town. Other than that, we discussing oatmeal at this point.

I've been sitting here, trying to figure out what the Fred Flintstone cartoon had to do with your post.

(my favorite shows are: Gilligan's Island and The Munsters .

The Munsters nearly put me in the hospital (lol) after one episode.

It was the episode where Herman Munster is looking for work, and he lands a job at

Yeah really frustrates me too! People like you and I play HARD and can maybe only win a few dollars here and there.

It was way too easy for these winners to win they don't even bother to check or even keep track of their tickets

This is so frustrating. All of us are playing so many lines on games hoping we can hit something... And then multiple 50,000 dollar tix are just sitting with no one claiming them...

That it's unlikely that the same player purchased all three tickets but certainly possible that the same player could have done two of them.

Yes, I am regularly guilty of that. I do use the little scanner to check all my tickets,

every week, when I go to buy my next week's tickets.

More importantly, I use Usamega.com, for a continual check on MM and PB jackpots,

as well as for the news articles.

After that, I usually head to Youtube.com to check for auto crash video compilations from

Europe. Incredible how many 'accidents' they have over there.

Two of the tickets were purchased in the same county while a third was purchased in a completely separate part of the state.

If those tickets are not quick picks, they were probably purchased by the same player. This player must have wanted the $1.6B but got consolation prizes instead and said, SCREW IT .

Three tickets in Virginia, worth $50,000 each, have not yet been claimed from that big drawing, officials said.

But the deadline to claim the prizes is fast approaching. Lottery officials said the tickets expire 5 p.m. July 12. In Virginia, winning lottery tickets expire 180 days after the drawing. So the clock is ticking.
