In racing, players win prizes for choosing the car numbers that place with $250 prize awarded for correctly choosing the top three finishers in exact order.

Why are the casino people worried a game with a 1 in 1320 chance of winning $250 and an overall 9% of winning something will effect their bottom line?

Casinos argue those games are too close to the type of online interactive games they themselves hope to offer soon

The IRS in Nevada makes very bad assumptions. One of them is that someone comes to the casino, wins on a Keno ticket and is going to leave the casino with the winnings. As some pit bosses say, It's just a temporary loan.

Back in the days when tokes (tips) weren't taxed and then the IRS cam in like the Waffen SS to get them taxed this went on in that court battle.

Good Luck to you Bleudog101 and the rest of the Lottery Post Members who play those numbers!

I only play MM and PB. Megamillions and Power Ball. I have transportation problems. I buy my advance play tickets once every five weeks. This has the benefit of reducing the number of trips to a store and spending a lot over a months time.

Good point, music*. IDK about Pennsylvania casino lobbyists, but can vouch for the Nevada ones against the IRS. The IRS, about a couple of years ago wanted to tax winnings over $600 vs the still standing $1199...the lobbyists won that hands down.

BTW music*, they said tomorrow's date 8-18-18 are lucky #'s. I played 8181 and 1818, straight for tomorrow's midday and evening draws before the liability limit is imposed which I'm sure it will be. Hadn't given it any thought until they had it... [ More ]

The Pennsylvania Lottery on Tuesday rolled out the latest addition to its line-up with the introduction of a simulated sports games that may appeal to football and auto racing fans.
