The headline should be he ignored a ticket for weeks that turned out to be a million dollar prize and your scenario nailed it. I suppose if he lives close to SC buying the ticket there is a good idea, but considering the ticket sat unattended for weeks on the dinning room table , I'm betting there was another reason why he bought the ticket in SC.
