Was it all luck? I have seen where this has happened in pick 4 but without the publicity.

The winners just had their winning pictures posted many times for each pick 4 win they had.

The thing I noticed about it was the people who won in this way, playing many tickets straight

only hit once or maybe twice and that's it. I think it may spark an idea with many to see if its

possible to hit in a similar way more consistently.

Might had a difficult time cashing the $52,000 and called lottery after winning another $80,000. And if he told them about both winnings, they probably asked for a promo showing both wins together. Really doubt he sat on the first big win waiting for another.

104 tickets on 11/18 then 160 tickets on 1/10, whaddya think was going on in the interim?Surely there were some multiple ticket plays we're not learning about. Nice when it hits but it's a risky way to play because you can get caught up in the chase and give it all back.

I would drive around for weeks before I pay taxes on the money that I don't have too!!! And turn around and have to claim it again on my taxes Not sure how that do it in VA tho

Initially thought the picture was a photo-op as a promotion for the Virginia lottery. Don't think this was the case.

Going on their website about claiming said Retailers can cut a check within certain guidelines of course. So he had 180 days to claim each $500 winning ticket. Didn't ask when I cashed in $5K if a check was an option vs getting all that money to carry. I learned @ the casino for big wins to take a check which they don't probably like. Considering his wins were almost two months apart, I doubt he waited that long to cash the first $52,000 in tickets so maybe the check simply represents both wins. I'd sure like to find out if it's difficult on not to cash 104 $500 tickets.

Doubt he purchases 100 or more tickets on one number every day, but may have after the $52,000 win.

When these news stories are printed the data sometimes seems cherry picked. The story would have us believe this guy just had a feeling on two occasions and hit both. Amazing no doubt, but if he played this way he had to have played this way previously.

Yes, it will be interesting to see if he gets a W4 (I think thats the form I got) a few weeks after the win. I know it would have been hard to cash all those tickets at a store and taken possibly weeks but that is the way I would have gone.

Suggests that you must report any winnings. Even those less than $600...

i just found it kind of strange that he was able to do this on 2 different occasions. Anyone can get lucky on 1 day, but to be able to be successful after loading up on 2 different days is remarkable. He should go to Vegas and play any game he wants. The guy has a gift.

Here in New York City a lot of gamblers bet a hundred dollars on the pick 3. But you won't see them holding a demonstration check in front of a camera. Also it isn't difficult to cash multiple tickets with a lottery agent on practically every street.

I would think not. They were all less than $600. He just cashed them all at once at the office, got a check, and saved himself a gazillion trips to the store. That's better than walking into the local bank with a $132K in cash and saying, I want to make a deposit.

At the least it would avoid a lot of questions. Or imagine if he had that much cash, and was on the way to the bank and got pulled over for a traffic ticket, and then had it confiscated.

I wonder if he had to pay tax on those... Cause the check says $132,000 which would then be taxable... Normally you would just cash them in if they're $600 and under without going to the Lottery office... Or maybe he was thinking wow that's a lotta tickets, Nobody's gonna cash all these in so heck with it... A win is a win...

He, i am sure play same ticket(s) five times or 20x or more at times, and got REAL lucky. I am very happy for him.

Now, THAT'S how you gamble et.al. as it's quite astute of him, prudent to play more in P3 and or P4

(and play less in Mega) and PB (just my opine)on this, because he would've probably lost more in power or mega,
