I was born there in 1986, and we moved to in America near the end of 1987 in part because my father foresaw this. Due to crime, I am afraid to revisit South Africa, but I would like to if it becomes safe again.

As a born South African, I can tell you: Lots.

Plenty of game reserves, including Kruger National Park, Pilanesberg, and De Wildt Lesedi Cultural Center Sun City Entertainment Center Kruger National Park Table Mountain and Robben Island in Cape Town Beaches Wineries Aventura Badplaas (hot spring swimming pools) Gold Reef City Whale watching in Hermanus 3x Rugby World Cup champions (1995, 2007, 2019). Obviously they are from the region, so they know what there is to do there. Maybe they're only temporary residents of Canada and have to move back at some point.

BTW. Police and dump type trucks are at every road exit going into DC to prevent the truck convoy going into DC. And more fencing has been added to you know where.

South Africa is falling apart the same way Rhodesia did. The government routinely takes property (especially farms) away from people and gives it to other people with no compensation. It's rapidly becoming a very dangerous place. They'd be much smarter to stay in Canada even though they are under tyrannical rule there now too.

They didn't win enough for two house in Camden, NJ never mind multiple children's educations. She didn't know how much 500,000 was so I am not surprised at their delusions of grandeur. She still thinks she will have enough left over to do all the things they were not able to do before. Are they going to drag all their possessions to So. Africa also. Just getting them and everything there will chew up a significant portion of that hit which was non taxable but still.

Two Canadian lottery winners are looking forward to purchasing a new home in South Africa for themselves after winning $500,000 (US$392,195) in Lotto Max Extra, plus another property for Mom.

Emma and Seabata Makhakhe took home a $500,000 prize in the Lotto Max Extra drawing on Jan. 7, 2022 and are looking at buying some South African real estate for themselves and a home in Lesotho for Seabata's mother.
