The Multiplier feature is now included in the base price of a wager and generated by the Lottery terminal at the time of purchase. I guess it's printed on the ticket when you buy it.

This is a very well thought out and unfortunately true post. The # escapes me, but you are 100% correct in your last sentence. The figure escapes me but it is in the billions.

Well said, djphin. All of this tweaking and add-ons such as double-play is the pure greed of the state and national lotteries that have reaped untold billions of dollars in profits over the last 30 years or so and want even more. Of course no one is putting a gun to anyone's head and making them gamble, but obviously the more so called chances to win the lottery offer the more people you reel in.

This a pattern with Lottery states- (the gambling association). They are always working on creative new ways to milk more money from the working man who is just looking for and hoping for a dream win. A chance to break free from the bondage of Debt and maybe buy and pay for those things they may never have otherwise. I stand corrected. On re-reading the press release about New Jersey's new Pick 6 structure, it does say each ticket will include a prize multiplier up to 10x, rather than the way it is done now for Pick 6 and the national draw games. Seems complicated and kind of unfair for everyone to pay the same $2 but some players get greater chances to win more money. The new game starts this week so we shall see. No, I believe everybody will get the same multiplier that is drawn after Pick 6 numbers - 2x, 3x, 4x or 5x, similar to Powerball and Megamillions. However, many people don't know that under the current New Jersey Lottery Pick 6 game there is only one 5x ball, two 4x balls, three 3x balls and four 2x balls. So the 5x has 1 in 10 odds of being drawn and the 2x has 4 in 10 odds, etc. But again the good news is everyone that that matches 3 numbers of more will have there prizes multiplied, jackpot w... Just so I'm clear. It sounds like they are saying that each ticket that an individual plays will carry its own multiplier amount for non jackpot hits? So if I but five tickets, there could be a 3x multiplier on one, a 2x on another , 5x on another, etc? With the multiplier option NOT being a choice, I'm guessing theres no chance that they will not have a useless 1x multiplier as one of the possibles.

Less winners for 2+ and less chances for 2+.

It should pay more than 3/6 and 3/6 doesn't pay enough as it was *5 with less balls.

The 1+1 budget should have been added to 2+ in the first line.

Some said that they were drunk when they decided how much should be paid in the lower price categories.

3/6 still is not easy to get. 2+ is like a great! and when looking at the payout, it is like b /SNIP /b ! !

What is overlooked in the new Pick 6 changes is the possibly negative feature of this change by the New Jersey Lottery that will actually DECEASE individual prizes for almost all winners except for the jackpot. While its never easy for change to be accepted/embraced, sometimes it's dictated by certain conditions.......That change should be made with those that it impacts the most in mind. In this case the change affects us, the gamblers. Sorry, I modify, That will be similar to Florida's Lotto, and Colorado's Lotto.

Also, New Jersey's Pick 6 return to the previous 6/46 matrix, between somewhere in 1980 and September 2000.

Not liking the way double play is implemented anywhere. The prizes are just terrible. They would probably make more money if they just had an instant match option with its own separate jackpot.

used to play this game every draw, a few months ago I changed to only when the Jp went over 6M

now maybe I'll up that to 10M unless the changes produce a lot more winners.
