Yes no doubt, finding that penny heads up was a superstition of hers, which prompted her to cash the 100$ winner instead of waiting a week. But the implication that the use of said penny to reveal what was already printed on the ticket is just silly

Yay good for her albeit the penny had nothing to do with the win. Luckily she chose the winning ticket upon purchasing it. The choice of coin used to reveal the information on the ticket doesn't matter.

A Maryland woman is crediting her late father and a penny from heaven for winning $2 million in a scratch-off game.

An anonymous Hagerstown resident, going by the name Happy Dog Groomer to protect her identity while sharing her story, said that a well-placed lucky charm from her late father was the reason she landed a $2 million top prize in a scratch-off lottery game.
