He won a game with a 6/40 matrix that carries 3,838,380 to 1 odds. New York used have a game with the same odds - Sweet Million. Those are the best odds you can find anywhere to win a multimillion dollar jackpot, but players in NY hated the game so it was pulled.

I feel the same as you do P6

but its a hard road trying to convince most folks of that, for me its about moving to more decent part of the 'hood and without looking over the tailgate every time I decide to go puddle jumping with smallish jon boat or take that extended vacation for a couple of weeks

A lot of people who try to upgrade their lifestyle by buying supercars, huge homes, etc. end up broke in a few years.

I am happy with my lifestyle the way it is. I have an average car, living in a modest home, and am happy. I'd like to get some new ham radio equipment but other than that, I'm happy.

Congrats to Bill! With ~$1.2 Million in post-tax dollars, he can buy a mighty fine vacuum.

Maybe they are happy with where they live etc, but a few extras would be nice.. (And there is always paying off the mortgage .)

Like in Bill's case.. being able to afford activities he could no loner afford.

Most people dream of winning the jackpot, but would be happy with a significant (2nd or 3rd division) and we know the probability of 2nd or 3rd is a lot higher than winning 1st division.

I play on occasion and do not want a huge upgrade if at all in my lifestyle. I would like free time and more freedom vs working a lot.

This guy will not have to worry about rising costs during his retirement or out of pocket medical costs.
