You probably missed, About 45 minutes after Little had left the liquor store, a different customer came in to buy lottery tickets. Nunes entered their order into the terminal, printed out the tickets, and handed them off. However, the customer realized they had been given two extra tickets, the same ones that had belonged to the Little, and handed them back to Nunes.

Remember the past cases where one may not want to automatically sign tickets? I believe this was referenced in one of the past LP videos. Better to make a copy of both sides of the ticket.

How could he sign the tickets since he forgot them

Why was the ticket noticeably damaged with burn marks ?

He must have signed his ticket.

They must have burned the ticket in an effort to obscure his signature.

Moral of the story: Always sign your tickets.

Read the article. He forgot the tickets. There was no intent to abandon his tickets. He had just purchased them.

Mr. Little was incredibly lucky two times once for winning $3 Million and again for getting to collect after he abandoned his ticket at the store.

In my opinion, the latter was more spectacular.

Kind of a back door feel good lottery story---a happy ending!

Since it wasn't an ongoing problem with the store, unless I missed it, they can continue to sell lotto tickets.

ICR if MA uses decoy tickets to catch potential store employees trying to rip folks off. I know CA used to and years ago KY did too. Sad thing is how many dishonest folks there are out there.

Cashier who tried to claim his prize arrested this week
