Double Play does not have an annuity like the main PowerBall draw. The 10,000,000 is $10,000,000 before federal state taxes

which is a nice plus

If you buy both Power Play and Double Play, the Power Play only is in effect for the main Powerball drawing. It does not multiply Double Play prizes.

I think eventually all states will add it. power play is separate. You can add one or the other or have both power play and double play, but it ill be $4. each cost $1

We don't have this in Louisiana but it looks interesting. It's like getting a second ticket for half price. Does PowerPlay apply to it

Right now, for a buck, it is a better deal than Mega Millions for 2 bucks. The only prize that would be lower is second prize. All the rest of the prizes, except $500, are higher than Mega Millions is for tomorrow.

It would be worth it.

I usually will opt out of PowerPlay in favor of DoublePlay

Paying $4 for a lotto ticket is just $1 to many.

Correct

But only if you choose to add both options, which of course you don't need to do.

My own experience is that I've done slightly better by adding the Double Play, as far as not losing as much lol.

Have never played this on Hoosier lottery and if not mistaken you can pay an extra dollar for Double Play and another dollar for Powerplay. So now we're looking @ a $4 play/line.

Enlighten me if I'm wrong about this, not 100% sure

The Iowa Lottery has announced that it has approved a plan to allow players to add the Double Play add-on feature to their Powerball tickets.
