When I was in the army at Fort Dix, a lieutenant colonel, during a speech, told our unit that we were a gang . It's been several decades since his speech but i've never forgotten his words.

Was stationed in the DC area for eight years. I can remember driving to Bolling AFB/NCIS off of I think 295. Never had any problems, though it could be construed as sketchy. This was pre-cell/road side assistance phones and if your car broke down on that spur of interstate, you could almost be guaranteed your car would be stripped.

When the Army decided to close the original site of Walter Reed Army Medical Center on GA Ave NW, neighbors in the area were upset that crime would increase.... [ More ]

Lol I have worked in DC many years and we all are quite familiar with SE DC. SE has the highest crime rate. I have known people who lived there and they even say they have to be extra careful. And with the exploding crime in DC, it is even worse. An ok few blocks in SE does not change the facts.
