I would still be driving my 1996 Toyota Tacoma sr5 4x4 extended cab with automatic transmission and living life simply in my mobile home community. Don't need fancy clothes or expensive vehicles to enjoy life. Would travel more campgrounds hiking mountains visiting national parks and enjoy nature and the outdoors with my dogs and my dad.

You do not understand probabilities. Buying 2 tickets doubles your odds over 1 ticket. Buying 20 tickets is even better.

You ask, why not play lotteries with more than half the matrix with jackpots in that range .

Playing Mega Millions in a pool gives a better chance of winning a million dollars than playing a smaller matrix on your own. I have worked out the odds.

My investments are doing way better than lotto bets this past month.

Bitcoin investment in IRA (retirement savings account) increased 50% in the last month. $100K increase in retirement savings. Still short $550K in retirement savings though, assuming $1 million in savings is needed to retire.

Nothing but losses on my lotto bets in the last month. $2 play per draw on MM and PB, so loss amount is low despite all losses.

A lottery pool does not greatly increase your chances of winning when there are over 300 million combinations and adding 59 more to your few plays doesn't even register a .000001% increased percentage of winning it. Many accurately say they would be happy with 1 or 2 million with that 2nd prize. So why not play lotteries with more than half the matrix with jackpots in that range.

The average person who has ever donated money to a charity, continues to get requests for money, that is the nature of anything. Most of us just donate what we can and ignore the rest. I liked it better when we weren't being lied to about the jackpots restarting at $40M ( last for the PB was on 2-15-2020) not the $20M(starting on 4-11-2020) figure they blamed on Covid. I also liked it better when the Cash to Annuity value was at 66% and not this mere 47% jargon.....Gotta take the good with the bad I suppose....Onward we go..Best of luck to everyone that participates.

I always add the extra buck too. Like you, a $2-$5million prize could pretty much set me for the remainder of my life at my age.

The first thing I'd do is get rid of debt then find some good annuities.

And I don't have to be apologetic for adding the extra buck. So you shouldn't even feel bad about that.

I say give me the One Billion and I will show you what I can do with it.

The exposure that people get in this life really does show up in the way people reason.

When you think small you'll be stuck on a 20K a year job. Someone else is thinking big and getting paid 1M a year.

It's all about choices.

My choice is I want the 600 M, I can manage it, it's not rocket science

Some people earn 30K a year and are not responsible.

It's not about the amount, it's about values and information and knowledge.

I can do way more good with 600M than I can do with 1M.

I would definitely welcome the reduction in the Matrix and better odds.

Hundred of millions of dollars sitting in some investment firms coffers after you win it benefits no one.

Love the big jackpot. I am playing in a lottery pool.

The pool greatly increases my chances of winning and the amount won is reasonable and yet still a life changing amount.

Once the Mega Millions jackpot is won, the pool will start playing Powerball.

Best of luck to all that play on this website . In Massachusetts lottery fever is still running pretty good here. I always see it as the more you could win long term the more you could give locally or nationally over time. I live a pretty simple life and would travel to make wonderful memories and help locally as I see the country. Would definitely claim through a trust or llc to keep it anonymous as possible.

I agree with everything you mentioned! I just would like that opportunity if they allow me to win it. I've been playing for 20 years. I'm sure your employer is thrilled about that. How many hours a week do you spend on it at work and how distracting is it for the others to be discussing it or not putting in that week if they are out or even worse winning it and everyone quitting their jobs. I agree they should go back to the old matrix. But, they should also increase the price per ticket to $5 while increasing the lower tiered prizes. This increase will also help to push the jackpot up at a higher rate so there is still the FOMO factor that helps to increase sales.
