This is one instance where the clerk who made the mistake deserves a healthy tip. They do not look like the type that tip generously or at all and made no mention of the clerk who was solely responsible for that hit.

Yeah, I agree.

Same odds as any other quick pick.

You have the option to buy it, but what if you were filling in your numbers on a slip and you overheard the person at the cash that they turned down a mistake ticket.

Would you run up to the cash and tell the clerk to save it for you?

How obsessed would you be if another person got to buy that mistake ticket b4 you?

I'm pretty sure there are people out there that would freak out like...

Don't buy it

Congratulations, I totally appreciate and understand your devotion for mistakes. As a youth my first time playing the lottery, I asked for the pick 3 number 420, for a dollar straight and a dollar boxed. When I looked at the numbers he misunderstood me and printed the #424 for a dollar straight and box..... wanted #420 I gave him back the tickets to cancel and play them correctly ....... those of you that knows how this gonna end, good for you. Naturally 424 crimes out, and for a nano second tho... [ More ]

I call them Rescue tickets if they are just sitting there. Most clerks in this fleabitten town know what that means, however last week one did not know what I was talking about. They were sitting there and she started to ring up a ticket and said NO, those two tickets sitting there. She finally caught on, scanned them to make sure they weren't old ones and bought them. One day I'll get lucky in Kentucky and win on one of those
