Just thinking about having a house note @ 72....but housing is very expensive in California, so that part makes sense.

Love Veteran stories, but all stories like this...feel good ones. Makes me say to myself 'This Veteran is overdue for a big win

* Congrats Nelson yes Billy, tipping is big in CA tips are taxed. It's so big annoying at times that the majority of bills one will receive at restaurants have tips already structured in the 15%, 20% 25% range or other, meaning you may pay whatever suits your pocket. Many folks don't like it, especially if the service is poor, but waiters rely on tips to make a living. McKinley recognized that.

He broke a 100.00 bill, spent 20.00 on scratch tickets to get change for a tip. But now he had 4 twenties in change. He must be a big tipper. One would think he would still have to break one of those twenties but no mention of that.

A California veteran, a longtime lottery fan who has played for 40 years, said it was because of a pizza purchase that he ended up winning a $1 million top prize.

A California man said he needed change for a tip, and one thing led to another when a simple transaction turned into a $1 million lottery payday.
