In the last year, the New Jersey Lottery has streamlined and redesigned its claim form, making it much easier for players to file claims.

It also put in a new system where players can receive their claim payments through direct deposit. And, lastly, comes this exciting new cell phone payment system.

Kudos to the executive director and his team that listened at last to years of player complaints about how long it took to get paid on claims above $600 or almost any claim for that matter.

That is correct. Small businesses in NJ were against online sales of the lottery, fearing it would drive customers away from their stores.

Am wondering if this will lead up to on-line lotto purchases? I recall, thinking it was NJ, that Mom and Pop stores were against that.

That's what my first thought was, the Lottery would pull up with balloons, dozen roses, box of chocolates and a giant check, all the news outlets and a life time of stories on Lottery Post.

when i read the headline only, i imagined a prize claim van that comes to you with the money, like the mobile dog groomers, food trucks, and all the other mobile businesses on wheels.

i'm not saying claiming prizes via mobile app is a huge let down, just that my idea is way better.

Welp, for some people it will be easier and helpful, for me.....not putting that on my phone. My phone used for hello, get milk and lots and lots of pictures of my dog .

Lottery prizes up to a significant amount can now be claimed anywhere at anytime

The New Jersey Lottery is now accepting mobile prize claims for certain prizes larger than $600, making it easier for players to collect some winnings without having to visit the Lottery in person.

As of Thursday, New Jersey lottery players can now submit prize claims on their mobile device for significant prizes, streamlining the claims process for both players and the Lottery.
