I'm thinking people like this just play out of habit and aren't actively trying to win, so they forget about it. Or on impulse. Sometimes, someone would be in front of me in line and instead of change they say just give me some QPs. Or it slipped out of a pocket or the car. Got misplaced. Most people are actively trying to win and hoping to win so they are checking the draws the same night or the next day.

What's going on in Massachusetts?. People are winning and not claiming. This thing is hard enough to win as it is. Stop being careless with lottery tickets and start treating them like real cash before you regret it. Other players are praying to win something and you are winning and jacking around. SMH.

Still missing: two lottery winners have weeks remaining

By the end of the month, two large lottery prizes won in Massachusetts will no longer be eligible to claim: a $100,000 Mass Cash prize and a $50,000 Powerball prize.

It's been nearly a full year since someone in Massachusetts won a $100,000 Mass Cash lottery prize and, separately, a $50,000 Powerball prize, but no one's come forward to claim either one.
