finally matched one... just discovered an error at a base level of my excel file.... would have matched 3 (1-11-35) if I caught it earlier... now I feel compelled to go cell by cell if necessary and look for more errors before scrapping that sheet altogether.I'm glad to have skipped the moonie award but the 53 pick was the result of that error :-( it actually picked 55! (I smoothed the data) it was a simple summation error that missed a number while calculating an average... affects the whole... [ More ]

Hey folks,Just as a point of clarification, I'm not calling an end to The Pigskin Challenge. It was actually started by pigskin himself when he matched three numbers from ten selections back when we were all just posting and comparing our numbers picks for the PowerBall game. I merely formalized it all and gave it a name. I really hope that all of you will continue to do the Challenge thing. that's ok aye;me saw on the news last night powerball is adding on balls to 53 in august,because too many people are winning.they must be in dream land if they think we play not to win,thanks anyway for your help,we always get either pb,and no other numbers or a couple of numbers with no powerball.i just don't know who all the winners are

been a fun ride Aye... thanks for all the work.I think I'll make this the last chance of my spreadsheet to produce something (even coincidence would be nice at this point) before scrapping (well, archiving... all those gigs on newer hard drives make being a digital packrat easier and easier... still have my first excel attempt). I believe the system I have now would be better at ranging wheels rather than as a 1 shot system... backtesting was finally automated too :-( (no big hits... alot of sm... [ More ]

Aye,You have a done a great job as Director of the Pigskin Challenge, thank you.I know what you mean by not having enough time. I seem to miss every other drawing because I just don't have the time to sit down and work through the numbers (especially with MM jackpots). For me it is fun to use my Excel spreadsheets and come up with the numbers I play. If it ever ceased to be fun, I would stop choosing my own numbers.Maybe you just need a break from Powerball. This is my last Pigskin Challenge. Somebody else will have to run it from now on. I no longer have the time to crunch the numbers and watch the board. I'm also fresh out of ideas for coming up with the winning numbers. I've tried every rational means that I can think of, and nothing seems to be panning out.
