The Pigskin Challenge: POWERBALL 4-9-05

$19,000,000.00

1. The object of The Pigskin Challenge is to correctly identify all the  numbers to be drawn in the Powerball game.

2. No more than ten number selections may be used to predict the numbers from the 5/53 matrix.

3. No more than three number selections from the 1/42 matrix  may be used to predict the red PowerBall.

The 'skindex rating system will be applied to all valid entries for purposes of evaluation and comparision of our efforts. The maximum possible score is 100 points.

Good luck to all Challengers,

aye'

This is my last Pigskin Challenge. Somebody else will have to run it from now on. I no longer have the time to crunch the numbers and watch the board. I'm also fresh out of ideas for coming up with the winning numbers. I've tried every rational means that I can think of, and nothing seems to be panning out. With a few minor exceptions, the methods I've tried simply haven't been worth my time or money. I'm not saying that it's impossible to consistently predict the PowerBall numbers. It'll just take a greater mind than my own to do it. Unless I have some great revelation, I'll just be playing Quick Picks until they change the game in August. After that, I'm through with PowerBall.

I haven't even had time to work up any new numbers. These are the same ones that I posted for the last drawing. They should be just as good now as they were then.

    2-6-16-17-20-26-31-34-35-44  PB: 20-40

    Good luck,

      Aye,

You have a done a great job as Director of the Pigskin Challenge, thank you.

I know what you mean by not having enough time.  I seem to miss every other drawing because I just don't have the time to sit down and work through the numbers (especially with MM jackpots).  For me it is fun to use my Excel spreadsheets and come up with the numbers I play.  If it ever ceased to be fun, I would stop choosing my own numbers.

Maybe you just need a break from Powerball.  Come back in a few months or a year and things may look different.  Best of luck in whatever you decide.

been a fun ride Aye... thanks for all the work.

I think I'll make this the last chance of my spreadsheet to produce something (even coincidence would be nice at this point) before scrapping (well, archiving... all those gigs on newer hard drives make being a digital packrat easier and easier... still have my first excel attempt). I believe the system I have now would be better at ranging wheels rather than as a 1 shot system... backtesting was finally automated too :-(  (no big hits... alot of small ones tho)

here goes one last run (full up 10wb and 3pb)...

          white balls 6-8-13-16-18-33-36-41-43-53

          PowerBalls 15-25-37

best of luck! Aye, hope you set a formidable skindex score!

                Hey folks,

Just as a point of clarification, I'm not calling an end to The Pigskin Challenge. It was actually started by pigskin himself when he matched three numbers from ten selections back when we were all just posting and comparing our numbers picks for the PowerBall game. I merely formalized it all and gave it a name. I really hope that all of you will continue to do the Challenge thing. I just don't have the time to crunch the numbers and manage the Challenge anymore because my job hours have gotten crazy, and I've simply exhausted all the ideas I had for picking the right numbers. (I thought my latest method just had to work, but it's been worthless so far.) I also don't like the changes that will be coming to the game in August, but that's another issue.

You can still keep the Challenge going. Anybody can run the thread, but I would suggest that you leave it to one person to start it for each draw in order to avoid any confusion. I'd also recommend that you make sure to maintain basic rules so that the focus of the Challenge doesn't end up getting lost. The Pigskin Challenge has brought together some of the best jackpot minds on Lottery Post to try to crack the PowerBall game. I still think it can be done, and it will be done if you persist. Unless I can think of something that I've missed so far, I'm just not one of those minds who will be able to crack the game.

I'll still be watching from the sidelines. I'll just be devoting what little time I have to LOTTO South and Hoosier Lotto. Yes, those are longshot jackpot games too, but the shorter odds will give my crackpot jackpot strategies a much better chance to pan out before I die. I'll be sure to let you all know when I strike it rich.

                Keep up the Challenge,

                aye'
