I used to do that with the predictions that were on Maybell's old site. See my previous post on page 4 of this same thread. My filters were not nearly as complicated as yours four4me but it worked. And like you, I hit more on intuitve picks, like the ones I get from my kids than any system I have tried so far. With that said, however, I am planning on upgrading my membership soon. I think the method of deflating all the predictions might have some merit. I have not done it much, but I will post it more often and we can look at the results. Where do you live, four4me? Lately we have not had to use the AC, but we have a few days recently. Temp in the high 80s.

Right you are that has been the problem for me eliminating individuals whom post the same prediction numbers. Like if i posted a number 24 ways and someone else posted a the same number 24 ways. You can't decide whether to include them in the mix or not. In this case i take the first number in the series and keep that. 10/4 good buddyI'm gonna give an idea i had that seemed to work pretty good when Todd first created the prediction pages.Since great minds think alike and a lot of posters have similar numbers in their predictions. i used to take the predictors that hit the same numbers in the same states on a daily basis. CD thanks for accepting my apology i really would like to try the 50 picks but there are only so many hrs in a day and my kids get out of school next week they are not going to let me behind this pc as much as i have been. i'm not making any excuses because i wan't to.... i also have some pressing other challenges on the house work to deal with. four4me, I accept your apology (although none was necessary). You might want to consider upgrading when you have the time to do some serious work on Pick 3 or Pick 4. The ability to post more than 10 predictions is certainly one advantage, but the ability to use the Deflate 3/4 and Inspector 3/4 is well worth the money to me. I am often using 3 web pages at once. One is looking at the results using Inspector 3/4, the second web page is using the Deflater 3/4 to apply filters the way I want,... [ More ]

Ok did some calculations and you guys are righ ah choke choke righ righ stuttering right. i apolog apologi ---- apologies.ok i see your point i'm posting 1050 picks for all states as opposed to 5440 picks per day and no way could i improve my standings by posting 50 picks unless i trapped half of or more than half the states numbers every other day. four4me,I think after you use your calculator you will see that Todd is correct (but I'm sure he would like you to upgrade!). If someone posts 50 numbers for all states, certainly they will show a lot of hits on the prediction page, but they also had to post a lot of numbers to get them, so the playing field is really level.

Todd i might take you up on that. I'll get back to you as soon as i do some calculating. My family just rolled back home and i got to catch up with them. I gonna pull out my calculator and do some state by state drawing figures. If a person utilizes the 220 chart and inputs the right numbers he/she should do really good with the 50 numbers per draw. spread out over all states. In fact i'm pretty sure i'll go for it.

four4me,Rick is absolutely correct in what he said. It is a totally level playing field, no matter how many picks you make.Posting predictions is just like playing the lottery for real. hold the phone if a poster posts 10 picks for 2 draws every day thats 140 picks per week times how many states there are that covers the all states predictions.If a poster posts 50 picks per draw 7 days a week thats like 700 picks. Times how many all states. No way a person that has 10 picks per draw opposed to 50 picks per draw is on an even playing field. It doesn't matter how many picks you post or play, your stats will be on a level playing ground of any other poster posting any amount of picks.There is only one winning number per draw and every other pick is a loser. If you post 50 picks and get a winner, you are also accounted for 49 losers. It's a completely level playing field no matter how many picks you post because it is based on wins/losses prize ratio percentages. For what it is worth, I think this site is pretty awesome. I just joined a few days ago but have been on here quite a bit in those few days. I like Todd's idea of adding a filter for strait onlys if someone wanted to see something like that. Since I play most of my picks boxed or comboed it wouldn't make much difference to me but I know that some people do go for the straits. RaiDeR,I wrote the software, so I don't need to figure it out! The Deflate tools don't really require any legnthy time to figure out . They are very simple. You just type or paste the numbers into the input area, set whatever filters you want, then click the button.Really, the instructions are very self-explanitory. Let me see if i can splain myself better. When you first started the prediction pages everyone was on the same playing field. Right! we were all able to post ten picks per game. Correct. So on a day to day basis if everyone who posts every day posted 10 picks every day for pick3/4 for one month. At the end of that month everything would show who did what when and where. should make a program that takes out sequence of 4 numbers 1234, 4653, etc...program takes out 2-of-a-kinds and 3-of-a-kinds and 4-of-a-kindsprogram makes sure if the 4 digits has a low and a high end so if 3 numbers r low there shall be a high number lets say 0-5 is low and 6-9 is high... so 1239, 1438 -- same with reversal 6837, 9672, etc...program takes out completely even and odd... 2468, 8462 -- 1357, 9375,etc...find all the numbers after all this and see how many u can box and how many u c... Well, I hate to disagree with you so much lately, but I do sometimes play more than 10 numbers -- sometimes 20 or 30 -- so posting more than 10 is very realistic. Also, posting predictions is often not done to match exactly with what you would PLAY. RJOH i'm not complaining about anything and i quite well understand how the stats pages work. As an example fast eddie was able to catch up to me in two months with his picks when he was posting 50 numbers. Grant it we were both hitting the same states almost but because he had the ability to post 40 more numbers than me he was able to hit in more states on a regular basis. As a standard member (free - 10 posts/game/day) I've been on some of the charts several times. The charts compare hits with the number of predictions and money spent so that levels the field. If anything, the person that have the fewest predictions has an advantage on the charts because his wins count more when compared to his number of predictions. I wouldn't change that. But would see love to see a filter put on the Top Predictor's stats for individual states posting. I think that thread asks about stats, not the winners page, so I'm not sure people are responding to that question.I can just tell you the way I personally feel about it: If I am lucky enough to get a hit, I would personally want to be included on that day's winner page without being filtered off. If this were my site and i was running a prediction board everybody would be limited to no more than 10 bets for each game. The idea that some members can post up to 50 bets per game is just not realistic. people arent playing 50 numbers per game but they can post 50 numbers to see if they get lucky enough to win. If everybody were only allowed to pick 10 picks per draw then that would be a level playing field. I cant compete with 10 picks against someone who posts 50 picks on a day to day basis... [ More ]

Todd,I don't see it as an exclusion because it is a reversible filter. The other stats will still be there for anyone who wants to see them. I'm not sure. I'm nervous about excluding someone from a winner page or stats page based on the fact that their posting strategy is different. Besides, if an all states predictor hits very often in your state, what does it matter that they posted for all states

Thanks for the response, Todd. Any additions to your already super site would be welcome and beneficial to many, I'm sure. Those are excellent ideas you presented. You see, what I've been trying to develop for Georgia straight plays, usually involves about 100-150 picks to have any decent chance of hitting semi-consistently. I would propose an alternative approach: rather than changing the options when inputting the numbers, perhaps we can show a statistics page showing straight hits. Or maybe there can be a filter on the winner's page showing just straight hits. I certainly consider all suggestions, but my feeling is that offering different betting options to the predictions would change the intent of the page, even if individuals would be happy with the increased options.
