The word chance is just wrong, when talking about a wheel's guarantee. The trouble with wheels is regardless of the strategy used to position some of your numbers in the wheel, you still have to follow the wheel layout to take advantage of its guarantee. If I could afford to play 163 lines, I would prefer to follow some other strategy to position my numbers rather than one that would guarantee a $1 win, after all the odds of winning a dollar is 1:54 no matter what strategy you use.btw: none of my strategies have made me a jackpot winner.RJOh

The wheel played above its guarantee which you clearly proved, the rest is dependent on how you position your numbers on the wheel. You need a strategy beyond throwing all the numbers up in the air and playing them for 527 draws however they fell on the wheel. btw: Look how close you came with that 5# win, the odds of winning a jackpot on that day were 1 in 44 of getting the last number correct, what would you be saying if there had been a jackpot win? The 163 numbers wheel is for a 649 game. In the Ohio649 game, a match 3 pays $1 and a match 4 pays $100, so even if you get lucky you lose money. In the MegaMillions to guarantee a $2 win you can play 46 lines with all the mega balls. You can avoid the problem of guessing which number to play by playing them all on as few as 7, 8 or 9 lines depending on game size. If you do the above, a 6/49 game automatically becomes a 6/36 game odds wise because no more then 6 lines can contain winning number only 6 numbers being drawn per drawing. I agree with you 100% on the first half of your post. That is, the only way you can guarantee a win is to play every combination in the lotto game universe. Any thing less, then one begins to guess what the winning numbers might be and as everyone is pointing out that guess is based on a great big ...if ! And, when one starts guessing, chance becomes a big factor as there is no guarantee that any of the 7 numbers in the wheel will hit in the lotto drawing..

I agree with Todd. You have to read and understand the statement before passing judgement. Many wheels do guarantee a win if you meet certain criteria. For example, if a wheel states that a 4 of 6 win is guaranteed if all 6 winning numbers are among those you played in the wheel, then it will happen. I have won many 3 of 6, 4 of 6 and three 5 of 6 prizes using wheels with guarantees. Thanks,John - LA

I think the word guarantee is misused in wheeling. There are no guarantees. There are no guarantees when it comes to playing the lotto. Wheeling may be entertainment for you but only luck is going to win you a jackpot.

As for expanding a pick 6 wheel to become a pick 7 it will produce several more tickets than really needed for 100% guarantee. Hi, I'm trying to find a site that has wheels for pick 7 numbers with a 4, 5 and 6 from 7 guarantee. All the 7 number wheels I have found have guarantees that are too low (3 of 3) or good wheels that only cater to pick 6 (I have Ilya Bluskov's book). Does anyone know where I can find good pick 7 wheels with higher guarantees (for up to 6 numbers) or how I can adapt pick 6 wheels to include a seventh number that is evenly spread out in the wheel?
