I should have slept a little longer. The only number I matched last night was the 8 on one of my QP lines. I'm on a perfect winless streak for PowerBall since the new 5/55 matrix was implemented. The 8 and 54 were the only repeaters last night. That leaves 19 numbers that haven't come out in these ten draws. I'd say that's a little bit lopsided, but we can thank the 50 for that to a great extent, and it's only the short run.Soooooooooooo, PowerBall is $50 ahead of me. As RJOh says, Unless, you... [ More ]

I fell asleep earlier and almost slept away my chance to hit tonight's big PowerBall jackpot. Hmmmmmmmm, maybe that's an omen. Whether it portends of fortune or failure remains to be seen. I had to dash out to purchase my tickets before the cutoff time. I might end up wishing I'd slept a little longer.I took two complete lines of some of my favorite numbers along with three lines composed of 5/55 QPs and the same red PowerBall number. All I can do is hope. I've got one more drawing after tonight... [ More ]

Sorry, but I only buy my own tickets and I don't generally buy quickpicks anyway. I don't want any confusion should I win.A few years ago, a woman tried the I lost the ticket scam to try to claim a prize. The real winner was able to demonstrate that her ticket was what it was - the real winner - by producing a record of her previous purchases of the same numbers.I'm off to get my tickets now, using my winner that I'm cashing in. It's a fair sized lottery, so I'll play with all winning $10.... [ More ]

I can buy either MM or PB tickets, depending on the jackpot size.Sometimes in fact I take my bicycle there because the ride is especially beautiful. The place where I buy my tickets had a PB winner in the $200M + range about a year ago. https://www.lotterypost.com/news/87024.htmIt wasn't me, but I checked my tickets very carefully then dreaming and dreaming.

This is getting ugly. Last night I matched only one number (10) on one of my five lines. That adds up to no cash. I've played a total of forty lines in these eight draws without cashing a single ticket. The overall odds of 1 in 36.61 are even beating me! PowerBall wins have always been few and far between for me, but it sure would be nice get something back soon. There were three repeaters last night. I was looking for that many on Wednesday. I'm afraid to even guess what the coming drawing might... [ More ]

Yes, the 50 continues to roll! Unfortunately, I didn't manage to cash a ticket on last night's PowerBall game. I played five lines again and I matched only one number. Now I'm $35 in the hole under this new matrix. I'm still looking for that big win that can jump up at any time, but I'm fully aware that those kinds of wins are more the exception than the rule in this game.I was figuring on three repeaters last draw, but there were just two, and I only figured correctly on one of them.

SCORE: PowerBall - $30.00, Yo mismo - nadaThe best I could do on Saturday's drawing was to match two numbers (52 and 9) on on two different lines.

I changed up things a little for last night's PowerBall drawing. I played five lines as usual, but I only used one QP for the red PowerBall. I took the number 42 for the other four. I also took only one QP for my5/55 selections. Among those, I managed to catch only the 49 and 50. I had to take the fifty since it was going so strong, but the 49 was just a straight up guess. At any rate, I still failed to cash a ticket, so I'm now $25 in the hole for the first five drawings of PowerBall under the... [ More ]

Yes the new matrix has messed things up for me..... I must admit I have had runs in the past for 1 or 2 wins per 5 dollar ticket for 3 and 4 dollars, but now nothing since the change! One month before the change my picked numbers won for 100 dollars and one Qp line on another ticket won for 4 dollars! I'm going to get back to my norm one-day, but when that will happen is the question I keep asking myself.I buy 20 dollars worth of PB tickets at a clip per drawing (depending on the jackpot size).... [ More ]

I'm convinced that the key to Powerballs difficulty in cracking it lies in the machine they use. There's very little room for weight between balls to make a difference. Gravity-pick machines in general are tough to crack, but Powerball and it's Halogen machine take the cake.

Frankly, I don't think it could or can be cracked . There are just too many combinations. I spend $3 -- most often I just randomly pick 5 numbers myself, then let the computer QP the Powerball. Sometimes I reverse that procedure. Unless I forget to do it, then I go with entire QPs. This is a game where...if you're going to win, you're going to win. But there's little if anything you can do to better your odds, so I'm not going to spend much time on it.
