Just6ntlcAs stated in an earlier post for 10/26, for purpose of the challenge just use the first group which were in bold characters in the last post for 10/29. Since your group matched 1+1 and my first group matched 0+1, you win the challenge. This challenge didn't attract much interest, not even from JKING who started the thread.RJOh

RJOh, last Saturday's PB draw on 10/29/05 was 14-19-22-41-50 and PB was 21. How come you use the bold numbers on one of the lines and not bold numbers on the other 3 lines? Just6ntlc,As I stated in my post I was running a test also. The odds of having a match that pays something using the PB balls (0+1 or better) is 1:37 and the odds of matching 3 or better is 1:278 and I wanted to see if I could do better than either. I matched 3 in 44 lines so I beat the odds of 1:278. I knew one of the groups would have the PB since all 42 PB were used and I was trying to match each PB with a compatible group, but I failed to have the winning PB with a group that matched one o... I picked one group of eleven lines randomly which include 55 total [out of 55 for PB and 56 for MM] numbers for both MM and PB. I can't change my numbers just like when I buy a ticket for MM and/or PB. These are my MM picks for this challenge from this point forward. JKING,CoverMaster produced a 130 lines wheel which would match 4 when 15 numbers are wheeled and all 5 winning numbers are in the wheel and a 375 lines wheel if only 4 of the winning numbers are in the wheel, however neither wheel is optimized.To generate those grids, I used a RNG with parameters that acted as filters, however when no combinations could be generated within those parameters I accepted combinations randomly from the remaining numbers until all 55 numbers were used.That would be ha... It might be a good idea to strategize your challenges. I'm thinking about joining this type of challenge one of these days at my own time. I have my own paper ball draw that I can use by using each number only once.

Sounds like this way of picking combinations might be helpful to those players or groups who play more than 12 lines if they produce several groups and filter out the garbage combinations. If the first 8 or so combinations are consider primary lines then three groups would produce ~25 primary lines to play which may include all 56 numbers with no garbage combinations.

hyperesoniq, I'm getting the same thing. The last few combos seem to be garbage. But then again, when you only capture 0 to 1 number with your primary choices, it makes those last garbage choices very important.My problem is the seed (or beginning combination). Since I run all combinations in my evaluations, the beginning combo determines what the subsequent combos will be.

no, that's why development ceased ;-)actually i left it 3/4 done when I was trying to convert it to a smarter program that would also eliminate past winning combos. It was the only worksheet I had that was just about the WBs.this was back when I was putting alot of effort into studying skip/hit data separated by wednesdays or saturdays. now this is interesting! I like this for a white ball approach to PB as well.I still have an old spreadsheet for a similar concept I dubbed the ber-wheel it was mostly a grid of 11 lines that would fill in numbers based on frequency, using all 53 (at the time, easily adaptable to 55). it used the last 4 draws to get its data.

Such a challenge would be clever and intelligent but the successful players would expose their methods for picking winning numbers and most players are reluctant to post helpful information that involves winning or sharing a big jackpot. Pick3 players don't mind if someone wins $40 playing their 10 picks but it might be a different story if the prize was a share of a $10M+ jackpot. I accidentally overlooked RJOh's 0+1 hit. Congrats on a real paying selection of the Mega Ball. I also noticed that cpt2415 scored two 3+0 hits on the predictions board.I like the idea of having a challenge series where all participants post their lines on the LP predictions board because credit would be given for actual money making combinations of numbers. The draw numbers were 11-17-28-29-36 + MB 42.Congrats to RJOh on the 2+0 hit.Over the years, I've tried this same approach on most every jackpot game that I've ever played. If you include a bonus number with each line, they can be posted on the prediction board with the other predictions and the winners will appear on the winners board after the drawings.

Your formula might just work one of these days JKING. The only problem is that many people may match the same formula. If this is the case, CA will win less money matching 5/5, but miss the MB.

That might work. Track it for a few picks and see how it works. I'm thinking now the challenge should be 12 rows of 5. Each number only once plus 4 repeat numbers. This would guarentee that you would hit all 5 picked numbers EVERY TIME. The ability to do this seems to be the weakness of the other lottery challenges.One other thing I like about this kind of challenge is that it accommodates a pencil and paper approach as well as computers.

I like the approach because it will generate the best betting grids. If you use excel, you reorder to (3 odd, 2 even) and ( 2odd and 3 even) for example. This can be done by initially setting a 5x11 grid with all the numbers in it, then a 5x11 grid with blanks next to it. Then as you fill in the blanks, mark out the numbers in the other grid.
