Cahaba,Didn't do too well in FL last night...only 2 of my 18 #'s came in so it was a loser.I was checking out WV Cash 25 game, a 6/25 game. They play it Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri. Sounds like an interesting game.I'll be using the same technique on that game next week using 13 RNG's. Sounds good. Hopefully we will see a trend with your technique. I will be in Florida next Wednesday, so if you can generate some numbers for us, I will play them while I am there (assuming you are in a hot zone with it). I will generate some numbers of my own and send them to you for a comparison. I will also work on generating some combos for IL.

Cahaba,This is true re: CA's draw. But using the same method and picks for IL would have gotten 4 numbers picked out of the 20 RNG's. Although there were no 3 or 4 number matches it had seven lines with 2 out of 5 (28% of the combos played) and this is strictly RNG, no wheels.I will continue this study for a while to see how it fares. But I'll limit it to IL and CA because IL uses ping pong balls and CA uses RNG's and both are 5/39 games. Should be interesting to compare randomness and wheels ef... [ More ]

OK, Sirbrad and Cahaba...Here's a quick pick-quick pick method that I'm experimenting with today. I've already entered my 25 picks for IL so I'm going to enter my experimental 25 picks for the CA pick 5 on the prediction board since it's the same game parameters.I used the random.org sequence generator with the parameters between 1 and 39 and picked the first 20 numbers. I use many analytical algorithms. Although the consecutive pairs of 20,21 got me this week, I did play 17, 18 in one line. I was expecting no consecutive really though, but I did have the right idea. I also follow the 45% repetition rule (that the same numbers of the last draw will not be drawn again.) I am actually pretty new to advanced analysis, and have come up with most of my systems on my own. However I am now looking into a few good books.But what I am doing now seems to be flirting with... Oops also just noticed I matched 2 of 5 on another line, played 6, 17, 18, 21, 50 [10]No powerball though, so nothing there. WOW! I narrowed it down again tonight!Played 6, 18, 23, 28, 44, 27 Came up 5, 18, 20, 21, 44 27!!! Man that hurts! One digit away from $100.00, and just numbers away from the JACKPOT on the others. Yea I use the same types of strategies with the hot/cold/overdue numbers. Although with some different variations as well. I really hate it though when you get burnt, and one of those numbers come up, thus making ALL your tickets void. That is if you played them all that way, and without the eliminated numbers. Yes I do that also. I actually eliminate various numbers based off of hot/cold/overdue etc, and I also eliminate all numbers sometimes of previous draws going back from 5-20 draws at a time. It all depends how much money I have to spare, because the more eliminations, the more money is spent. Although a lot of sites state that numbers are very likely to repeat, at least one of them, I find that for the powerball drawings that ANY of the numbers rarely seem to repeat.I actually used this strategy... Rick and Sirbrad-Both techniques that you employ are interesting and worthy of experimentation. Thanks for sharing them with us.I choose my own numbers for many different reasons. One can eliminate their odds exponentially when using a filtering and selection method that has shown results over a period of time. The duration of your method must be consistent, minimal in error, and must show a significant difference statistically in winning percentage when compared to other over-the-counter lotto

Sirbrad,Interesting technique and I can't argue with it. It may depend on where or how you select your RNG's, but nevertheless it is as valid a selection process as any other.My preference is to eliminate some numbers and then do a quick pick on the rest. But you can win either way.

Also another secret strategy that seems to work sometimes, I select about 5-10 QPs via a RNG. I then use NONE of those numbers to play my tickets. Being past results have proved that I rarely even match JUST ONE of the numbers, so these also much to be sure losers 95% of the time. Works wonders. Then my new numbers are only sure losers 90% of the time...So as you can see I have elimated a whopping 5

Is a quick pick the number force-fed to you from the lottery terminal or is it a 'smart' quick pick that eliminates numbers but still uses a random choice among your numbers and a combo that your RNG picks and not their's?I believe RJOH uses the same technique.....random numbers that you pick from your subset of numbers. My own method of playing jackpot games and I'm referring to IL Little Lotto only, a 5/39 game, is to eliminate as many possible numbers as possible.I eliminate the 6 coldest numbers, the 6 most overdue numbers and the 5 numbers that played last night. The latter happens about equally...45% of the time there is a repeat and 45% of the time there is not.This brings my numbers played to about 23-25. Sirbrad- I like how you put the twist of challenging the system to meet your numbers.I agree with Barista in veering from places that have claims of past winners. Its sorta like slot machines, once you know its been hit or tapped out, ya just dont want to put your money there again.Use QP for Powerball and Mega and pick my own for Pick 3 and Cash 5 .

Every week I hold my drawing, and pick my winning numbers. It is up to the balls to match them for a win. I have challenged the balls many times by exclaiming that they will never match my tickets that I select the winning numbers, and so far I have been right. But they are getting closer each time! Strangely enough though these drawings seem to be costing me a lot of money, but if the balls match my winning tickets I will be very rich! Strange indeed

I just got back from a store, in Park Ridge NJ, that had a 5+0 winner laster year (before the bump). There were about 15 people in line, usually there are zero. Every one was buying QP's. NO one used their own number. Mine was the only bet below ten bucks. One guy did spend a hundred. Most spent $10.00The Shamrock was on TV this morning and they were lined up buying tickets. All interviewed we buying QP's. This is the store with the last NJ MM winner.

I am not going to win the lottery on a quick pick drawing. Someone will eventually win with odds of 176m:1...it just won't be me.I like to study the numbers, to see if I can get some sort of edge, and maybe give myself a one in a million shot, not one in 176 million.

I would venture to guess that that wasn't the first occasion on which Whitaker spent $ 100 on lottery tickets. He had his own construction company. The real question should be what is the number of tickets purchased by the average jackpot winner on the drawing that they win and what is their level of participation in the lottery when it reaches $ 100 million or more. I beg to disagree. The odds are astronomical something like 1 in 176 million. I just don't see how you can change that in a significant way, unless you lay down some serious dough as in millions. I think I read somewhere that the average amount spent by a lottery players is about $5.00 a drawing. Then again in the words of Han Solo Never tell me the odds .

Many of you use systems and numerical analysis. Just look at the Lottery Systems folder on these message forums And there are a lot of smart lottery players on these forums.
