Getting back to the basic question, NO, I would not drive to another state to remain anonymous. It would be a waste of time. I'm not sure what would make you so special, you would have to hide. Of all the comments and posts about winning big. I still not sure how I would go about it. I can dream yes but, intill it happens I don't know what I would do. I did ask my lawyer last week just out of curiousity of what to do if I did hit PB or CT lotto. He said contact him don't tell anyone. I never said I wouldn't tell my family members. This thread is about remaining anonymous and remaining anonymous calls for drastic measures sometimes. If it means waiting until your funds are secure and family members are safe from any harm that might come to them.That makes sense. Personally, I would move before claiming the winning ticket. i don't see the point in going to an anonymous state, if anonymous states don't win as often as 'you will be revealed' states. it's all about seeding, and which states have the best 'seeds' is it not? the drawings are not really random. and who's to know which 'seeds' will pop up most frequently (has a study been done here, of which states win the most out of all prizes, not just jackpots)? i wouldn't worry about it. if you're smart before winning big money, you'll be smart after winning big m... trust parties can remain anonymous, it's not a matter of public record.a personal property trust (the one best suited to claiming a lottery win) is an asset protection document. The IRS knows who you are for tax purposes, they don't post that info anywhere. The trust is a cleverly worded document that needs no further action than the stamp of a notary to execute. Don't you have to pay taxes in your home state, even if the state where you bought the winning ticket does not tax non-residents? I am relatively sure that is how it goes. You need to claim your out-of-state wins here in PA and get taxed on them... Why do people keep thinking they will hide behind a trust or LLC? Have they been watching too many television shows? Neither option was created for secrecy, nor do they allow secrecy. The IRS has thousands of lines of code making sure you don't use it to hide behind. The officers of both are required to be publically listed. They are for protection, not for gains. Even off-shore trusts have limitations, especially if you intend to live in America.

I personally don't care about being approached, as long as those who feel there is nothing wrong with them approaching me, understand that I will respectfully say, I am not interested, No comment, No Thank You, Get Out, Get Off. Approach all you want, waste your time. I become a different person when you cross the line. As long as they can handle the repercussions of crossing the line, I can handle them when they come across.

People who have are approached and not those who don't have . You do not control who approaches you but you certainly can stop them from approaching you. But isn't it better that people can not approach you ? it wastes lot of time and energy in stopping something. Prevention is better than cure. Don't you always wish that you only receive those emails which you want instead of 90% spam

They did not seem to care about where I was during my hardships, so they shouldn't be caring after I win. If they do, that is their problem. If you win stay quiet get your money and leave town if you affraid of being in the limelight. move to a gated community and stay locked behind doors change you name do whatever it takes to pull away from any attention to yourself.

I would only travel to Delaware and New Hampshire, if I was already somewhere on the east coast and the jackpot was +$300 million. Lottery winnings are paid out free of state taxes to non-residents in both Delaware and New Hampshire. However, I would not travel to Ohio or Louisiana to buy lottery tickets under any circumstances.
