I agree with Rick..........out of sight, out of mind, ease of use.......What I get irritated is when one number is the Topic. Now I don't mean just once a day....heck some people do it over and over again until they got like 5 or 6 topics with just 1 number.......if ya wanna post the hot numbers', start a thread and post it there all in one spot. Todd,What Rick suggested (and has been suggested before) is absolutely the way to go...That would solve lots of problems...One of the biggest reasons I left 3 or 4 months ago was because I was tired of the constant BS being spewed by the couple of folks. And now I have returned 4 months later to see the same problems with the same people being discussed again. Being able to drop the whole subject line for certain posters would end that once and for all and make the LP a much more enjoyable place... [ More ]

OK, Rick that makes sense. I was trying to take a middle ground that lets you change your mind and see the existence of the topic, but if you're saying that in practice it would be better to eliminate the threads from your display altogether, then I can certainly make that change. If anyone else wants to weigh in on this topic, that would be fine.

Todd,One addition that I would like to see.......when you put someone on your block list, their threads (or topics) should not be showing up either. Maybe I'm mistaken or didn't do it right but the blocked people on my list are still authors of half the threads on the first page.One argument here was about people posting so many threads every day and having to wade through all the pages of threads to come to the ones of substance....and having your thread on page 2 in 15 minutes and page 4 in an... I don't think Lucky is involved in any way in the squabbles. He is an innocent bystander . He uses the forum in a very good manner and some might take notice of how he organizes his threads and posts.He doesn't post an unusual amount of THREADS. Lottery Post members are some of the most generous people in the world, sharing their systems with others so that they may learn them and help themselves. Often I had thought didn't we already have this poll? If you use your head and think, not everyone started their membership at the same time therefore they may not have been a member when the poll was 1st taken. It's not just polls either, sometimes people ask questions that have been asked before and the next thing you know that person is jumped on in a post for asking the question. First of all, thanks Todd for addressing this issue. If you want to see how bad a site can get, go to the google lottery group. I would hate to see the lottery post end up the same way. Perhaps, if all posts we're kept on topic only (being the lottery), alot of greif would be avoided and we wouldn't lose so many quality posters that really did add diversity and out of the box thinking to the lottery post. We are are a diverse group and all will not agree at all times, but we have one thing in common we like the lottery. I see things here I do not like, and a whole lot I do like.
