Funny, I had to go back and look because I didn't remember writing that, but you are correct...I did!! Just not something I remember writing, because of my feelings about racing. I wasn't recommending it, just stating that the odds are much better if you have certain skills playing cards or know inside information about a horse. Most people I know who play the lottery spend more than they win, but I certainly agree that a little extra cash would be great.

People have been posting their secret winning systems at LP for a long time but not the real secret of how they actually make money, they leave that to the LP members to figure out for themselves. So far that secret is safe because no one has come forward with any documented proof that any of those systems actually do make money. If you're trying to win a multi-million dollars jackpot, the system only have to work once, but who's to say that's not just getting lucky.

I've seen those consistent winners in the store now and then. Some are consistently winning $30 to $50 while spending $100 and some are laundering money they made from drug dealing. That's actually not a bad strategy. You'll lose about half and then pay taxes, but it's a lot easier to spend money with a legitimate source when you want to pay for something significant like a car or house.

MANY people can and DO make a living off $1000.00 a week. As a matter of fact MANY people actually work a job and make less than that, so I know one CAN live off $1000.00 per week tax free money. I'm certain not all LP memebers have a job that earns over $1000.00 per week and would be VERY Happy with this amount of money on a weekly basis.

Short of winning a multi-million jackpot I don't think it's even possible. Every pick 3 player hits a loosing streak. Maybe if you lived frugally and owned your own house in an area with low tax you could win less and pull it off but the only way you can think you can live off pick 3 or pick 4 is if you just started playing and had a few hits.

I don't think so. Those small pick 3/pick 4 drawings only give back half of the odds. For example the odds of winning the top prize is 1 in 1000 but the payout is only $500. Seems like you would have to be right more than double the odds (i.e. 2 out of every 1000 tickets). The math on the larger drawings is bit more simple and I don't play the smaller lottos, so I could be wrong on this one, but I don't think you could ever come out ahead on the pick 3 or 4 drawings. I play the Lotto 5 and... [ More ]

I could live off the lottery with my winnings, but I have kiddos and I am too nervous to take the plunge at this time... maybe when they get finished with college. :)I think the big picture is what do folks do with the money they win each time? As with anything, you always take your original money you invested and put it back in your pocket... then you are playing for free. I call that the profit. So when you have a bad day , it doesn't hurt at all. With profit, a portion is ALWAYS given awa... [ More ]

I voted no because I thought of the weeks were one may not do very well. On the other hand the weeks that one hits well could make up for those weeks. I used to hit a lot when KY had 1 draw a day and I played 10 numbers .50 str. I played these numbers 040, 004, 998, 989, 979, 997, 992, 929, 665, and 656. It was a total of $5.00 a day which came up to $155. a month. Normally I'd hit atleast 2 times a month. After a couple of months of hits I'd take one of those numbers, usually the late number an... [ More ]

The solution is simple. Go to various places to redeem your $5000.00 a week. That would be the best job in the world. It's only ten tickets a week, each worth $500.00..........I'd just buy a car and drive all over California, cashing in my chips for about a month, then stop for a week (yeah right)....and then resume with the plan for retirement. LOLOn the other hand, if you can achieve such a high standard of brain activity, which allows you to pick that accurately, then maybe much better ende... [ More ]

I chose maybe. I've never hit that often or know anyone who nets a grand a week. The lottery is a game of chance, so even people who hit consistently might have several bad weeks. All it takes is one big win, and I wouldn't play if I didn't think that might really happen...just enough to take it easy. So far it hasn't happened, probably never will, but I won't give up just yet. I think if you want to live off of gambling, you've got better odds playing poker or the ponies.... [ More ]

I voted yes, I want to think yes.Knowing you could hit anything beyond a Pick 3 consistently, I mean really knowing you could, would the lotteries continue to offer such a game? And could you keep it to yourself if you came upon something thst brought in let's say $5,000 a week?Just a thought. The casinos don't offer Faro anymore.

I notice I can hit numbers. Alot. And I notice ALOT of other people can hit too. Alot. Mostly in pick 3 and pick 4, and alot of times these are big hits. So, I was wondering, if anyone, felt they could hit consistent enough, with big enough hits, say, about $1k-$2k (or even much more), every week, or every other week, would you make a living off of the lottery? Or, no matter how many times you hit, and no matter how long your hitting lasts, would you always view it as a recreational in... [ More ]
