When I play the lotteries, I prefer to pick my own numbers, odds are I won't win but if I have to lose I prefer to do it with numbers I picked. I enjoy picking my own numbers, it's a form of entertainment like watching TV which is also a waste of time.

From all the years I have spent learning about probablity, in the end, what I have found out is that you have learned that you cannot know how things will turn out to be for certain -- you know that you cannot know for sure. That's the bottom line. It's better to save your money and make wise investments rather than throwing it away trying to win the lottery.
