What difference is there on how many played a QP or selected a number and then lost? Equal, unequal? 50%? 90%? 10%? What counts, is the number of winners that chose QP not the number of winners that didn't. Counting losers only tells you there were a lot of losers. I figured that out when I saw the $300M annuity. That is a lot of losers. Doesn't matter. Only the winner counts. They chose QP 75 to 80% of the time.

One might say that Luck is the foundation upon which Strategies, Systems, and Techniques are built.

While we can certainly reduce the odds for a given game by studying it and applying well thought out strategies, systems, and techniques, some measure of luck will always be needed. Eliminating the odds completely is unlikely.

Excellent! There is a thing casinos called the feared player , but that player is only one out opf thousands. The feared player's approach is this, Never give the house the chance to stand to win from you what you stand to win from them.

my dads been playing quickpicks since the beginning of time and has never hit the big one, recently he got me to try NY take 5 which is only 5/39 format and i try to figure out a system ,it took me a week to hit 4 of 5 numbers and win $500 ...dad was vexed

People often work out what seems like a winning system, but actually makes it harder to nearly impossible to win, like those who play all the numbers on a split wheel where we know their chance to win only comes around about once in one hundred draws.

One hundred tourists walk in, one wins a fair amount, the others lose acceptable amounts or average out, which do you remember?

A lot of those lucky people were not players, first time and one time tourists.

The guys with the notebooks keeping track of the diece and who could recite the odds on every bet to you would be telling them don't bet this or that bet, and it was those very bets that were putting money in their racks!

When it comes to gambling or playing the lotteries, the only people you hear about are the winners. You never hear about all the people who bought quick picks and lost, very few people use systems to pick their numbers because most people buy quick picks.

The percent of system players among LP members is probably higher than the general public, because LP members spend a lot more time trying to figure a way to play smart or win than most people.

Luck beats skill every time.

But that "luck" won't last. You have to get each person's statistics. Were they lucky once, when you observed them? They won $1,000. But then the next 10 times when you weren't looking they lost $10,000. I don't believe people claim to be lucky time after time. I believe they know something and perhaps are trying to hide that fact to prevent being thrown out of the casino. Or to keep people from asking them "what is your secret?"

OK, let's say you have two people playing any lottery. (Five and six number games, not Pick 3s and such, for the most part).

One studies results, works on a system tries to develop a system, and goes many years and never hits anything big. The other stops at a store, buys a QP, and hits! (Seems to happen often).

My question is somewhere between Where's the justice? and is it all just destiny?
