Sounds like the cruise idea is a hit, nude or otherwise, GasMeterGuy! There are more cruises available now more then ever because they keep building bigger and better ships. And a casino on board is a must!

The ship better have a lot of 'puters, DSL, or Wi-Fi, otherwise if a bunch of lotto players go on a cruise for a seminar and can't play it'd be worse than a smoker's cruise with no tobacco of any kind available

If people are serious about doing this, I think a cruise is a great idea. To get a group discount we would need at least 16 people/8 cabins. I am a Travel Agent in Florida and can get some really good discounted rates here. Before anyone flames me, believe me, there is just about no money made by an agent booking a 3 day cruise. I would like to attend, and am just offering my services/expertise to co-ordinate this if people are interested.

Thanks lottolaughs. I've only been on those 4hr Casino Cruises in Florida. But friends of mine keep telling me how nice the real cruises are.

Lots of room for seminars, good food and extra activities for friends or spouses that come along who may not want to attend a seminar to do.

This happend on both the Flintstones and the Jetsons. They went to Rock Vegas and Jet Vegas, respectively, and both Fred Flintstone and George Jetson both blew their entire trip money before anyone got a chance to even check into the room.

Heh fxsterling..I live right up the road from you in Hattiesburg,,..did Biloxi have that many before Katrina..I didnt think there was that many on the coast..I always liked The Grand in Gulfport because they had Poker rooms..but I have to admit the Beau Rivage is probably the Crown Jewel of the coast..

I didn't see that this subject has come up before. I know it would be a huge undertaking if this every came to fruition, but I thought more people would be interested in going. And, I agree, it should be in a casino town. Las Vegas sounds perfect since I've never been.

A group of people arrived at the hotel tonight, all equipped with pencils, notepads upon notepads, calculators, and a couple of gizmos that looked like something out of Star Trek. Most of them also had those lottery wallets that the state loteries give out to keep your playslips and tickets in.

When asked about thisthey, to a person, denied having anything to do whatsoever with any lottery seminar.

Any casino town would be far too distracting, especially if a bunch of lottery players had Keno available.

I say pick a site like Fargo, ND, or Bangor, Maine - in the winter- and see who really wants a seminar.

During my career as a Nurse, I have attended many seminars, mostly because they were manditory. When done right, they were entertaining and very informative. While others may have been boring, just meeting people with the same interest a was bonus.

Just setting a seminar up can be a tedious challenge, but it could be rewarding in the end. Because as we all know, you learn something new everyday.

If there were going to be a weekend seminar hosted for Lottery Post members, how many of us would be willing to travel and go? I recently went to a seminar with my sister for people trying to break into the music business and I really had a lot of fun surprisingly. For $99, not including our hotel room or food, of course, we got a whole weekend of classes and meetings and exchanging ideas, it was well worth it.
