Interested, yes. Alone, no. It would have to be many different people working in a collaborative and cooperative committee. Everyone would have to check their 'I, my, me, mine, myself' attitudes at the door.

I had a similar experience trying to locate a previous post. I never did find it! Maybe it was colateral damage in the recent database failure?

I believe what JADELottery was referring to was that it may be possible when looking through the active topics it should be possible to mark those topics to which one has previously posted. I've seen this on other forums but don't know whether it'd be possible here.

To each their own. Some people specifically come here looking for what you call mind dribble .

New members need to come up to speed on any web site, not just Lottery Post, although your description of newbies basically pictures them as an empty shell filling up with mind dribble until some magical turning point happens.

Here's another point: I went searching for a post I made a while back relating to some code I had posted. I'm having a hell of a time looking for something 'I' posted, 'me' one person. I still haven't found it yet, but I know what it's about. This thread is about the suggested inclusion of a Lottery Glossary on Lottery Post and the implementation of same: All the the information you mention is quite interesting, however, none of them offer up any insight into the topic at hand (Suggestion for a Lottery Glossary).

Feel free to start a thread on any of your topics (in the appropriate forum) and discuss them to your hearts content.

The mechanics or make up of a game is of course the first thing to learn.

As to prediction, scientific methodical prediction has to do with past statistics of to-be predicted lottery factor(s).

Scientific prediction is of course Statistical Prediction based on past statistics of lottery factors and also on the make-up of a particular lottery game.

That is the purpose of compiling the definitions and alternate definitions and having a vote. If someone did not participate in compiling the definitions or in the voting process then they have no room for complaining about the definitions placed in the Lottery Glossary.

i think what we need to do is get away from the nitpicking of definitions.

there are some who would say, snottily, 'well, this means this, and you need this, and that could mean something else...'

open up a dictionary and you'll find many words with multiple definitions or meanings.

some are even spelled the same and pronounced differently, like wind(air motion) and wind(wrap, coil, or turning motion).

What a wonderful idea. However, I worry about what Todd said about people getting so upset over what is correct and what is not. But the voting idea does seem to carry the day.

This would really be a feather in the caps of LP members to come up with something like this. It certainly would add some additional pride and professionalism to the Lottery Post.

Many times during the last couple of years I've searched the Internet until I'm Blue in the face trying to find definitions to Lottery Terms with dismal results. A Lottery Glossary under Resources would have save me lots of time (probably lots of other people too).

We need a LP Member or Group of LP Members to run the Lottery Glossary Project: compile the Lottery Glossary and have LP Members vote on the acceptance of the definitions (especially the ones that may be in contention).

You are probably correct but being new to this environment it is really difficult to weed out the pertinent information. I don't think I am trying to ignore the rest of the information, it is just that the immense amount of it is so overwhelming. I also do not mind paying my dues, however, I would like to have some defined strategies before the end of this decade.

I would suggest to the person wanting to know what a term means;

When you read a term you don't understand ask the person that posted the term.

You would probably get several different replies. Take the one that suits you best and go with it.

Like the term neighbor pairs (45--78--43--10 etc )

also called 'in-law pairs-married pairs-- joining pairs--consecutive ,etc.

If you want to find some of the basics here at lottery post the first place I would look is in lottery systems.

To learn the pick 3 or 4 game is to know the different breakdowns of the numbers themselves. Each breakdown by category will have their own set of odds of probability.

To know how your game is running with the odds of probability use the deflate and inspector 3 and 4 for past results history.

It always seems simple when you dwell in a few common terms, but it doesn't do much good to have a glossary with a half-dozen terms. So you need to create a more substantial glossary.

I did collect submissions from members as you say. I'm not saying it is a bad idea, I'm just saying that I went through this exercise, being extremely deliberate and careful to avoid all the typical problems, and the things I wrote about above happened.

Like many members, you want to get to what works and ignore the rest. The problem is most everyone post what they think will work rather than what has worked. It would be nice if a methods had worked in the past, it be documented in the post but that's not likely to happen. Beside checking the predictions statistics of the posters, you'll just have to read and check out what you like. Good luck to you.

I tired that a while back and it was a less-than-successful endeavor, mainly due to two things:

Nobody could agree on the definitions, and,People came up with words and definitions that I just plain disagreed with, and if I ever try to correct somebody, or if I have the nerve to tell someone that I'm not going to use their definition, they get all PO'ed at me, and start telling everyone about how I hate them, etc., etc. It quickly became not worth the hassle.

With this site, I can't really say what's the best way to start learning the lottery, because there is no general agreement on what people should learn first, second, third, etc.

If you are looking for guidance on a particular method, all I can say is that you can find it. Whether or not you stick with a particular system and master it is completely up to you.

I like many other new members am trying to learn something about all the lingo, iterations, systems, techniques for playing, etc., etc., etc.

It is like trying to navigate through a mine field. I am not trying to be obtuse here. The sheer number of posts is getting to be overwhelming. If a new member wanted to weed their way through all of it, frankly, it would be a nightmare.
