I won't mourn the loss of LFL. I didn't play it. Same with Match6.

I won't bother with Bait Switch (err... Mix Match) either...

When will the idiots in Harrisburg finally get the fact that we (PAplayers) Are not all that excited about playing a $2 ticket for peanut prizes when PB still only sets you back $1 (Unless you CHOOSE Powerplay)?

Here were the problems with the games listed

If Lucky for Life was poisoned by me, as you appear to be saying, then I guess my boycott of the game successfully was spread to other LP members, who might in turn have told others not to play it. Worked harder to keep the game going? It was poisoned, in a small part, by your irrational thinking, and when refuted, you chose not to respond, which I choose to view as a concession. The greed of PA's Harrisburg Lottery Execs greatly poisoned it.

Greg, since you liked Lucky for Life so much (I actually respect your opinion, I just didn't respect the game), you could have worked harder to keep the game going. Like pushing for a cash option, which would have meant higher sales (without changing the lifetime prize, only making it an option), which in turn might have meant you might still be playing Lucky for Life.

I might go $100.00 the last draw. Although LFL has already robbed me enough. I am sure after all the money they make the last draw they will wish they kept the game. I won't even play mix and match unless it is at least $1.5 million due to taxes. So it looks like I won't be playing it much, and even less than LFL. Looks like another failure by lottery headquarters.

They always exclaim this is what the people want etc, yet for some reason I, part of the people; never get a vote.

Another thing is for certain, I would not be complaining about a $100,000 a year for life annuity. Which is more like $75,000, and still nothing to complain about. However I do have a slight problem buying one scratch off for $10.00, especially considering how much I already lost on them. Nonetheless I would be ecstatic to win Lifetime Riches. I suppose $100,000 a year for life is unlucky riches?

Good investment. Maybe someone could help me out here, but it seems like the occurences of people getting lucky for life-i.e. hitting the jackpot, is not all that often compared to other games.

I have ot admit, I very rarely, if ever play Lucky for Life, but the New Mix and match with better (1 in 4 vs. 1 in 12) odds is promissing. Why would Pennsylvania have a cash option if they joined GA-KY-VA Lose for Life, when it refused to offer a cash option in UNlucky for Life?

The 520k option in VA is cheap. It's only 10 years' worth of payments. The minimum cash option on a $1000-a-week prize should be $675,000 (about 13 years).

Write to them and suggest it. I will do the same. Also, suggest they use a cash option to entice seniors to buy tickets. Remember, the $520K option VA has is typically higher than Cash 5's prize.

I'm glad you are looking forward to playing Mix Match, which debuts January 23, 2007 (first drawing 1/25/2007.) I do forsee some problems (will some media give the numbers in ascending order, rather than exactly as they come out), but, since it's not annuity-only, M M will be a much better game than the one it replaces.

The biggest problem with Lucky for Life is that Pennsylvania is a state with a large population of senior citizens, with a rapidly leaving population of younger people. Pennsylvania's economy is tanking. I am among the so-called brain drain and do not regret it at all.

Pennsylvania has two for life scratch-off games, a $2 and a $10 version. These games are probably sufficient, however, if PA wants to have a for-life jackpot drawing, they should join up with the Win for Life game in GA/KY... [ More ]

A lifetime prison sentence might be unlucky for life, but to think of a lifetime of checks as being unlucky would make you an idiot. As well as to assume that not having a cash option is bad for a game you do not even play, and just because you are 60 years old or more; don't assume that many younger people would not want an annuity. I would be fine accepting it.

I will be making a special trip on or after 1/23/2007 to Matamoras, PA, which is on the tri-state border with New Jersey. I will also play New Jersey Pick-6 Lotto, then head up to Monticello Raceway for video lottery. UNlucky for Life will not be missed.
