Its funny you should mention 023. I also played that number yesterday...but then again, I play that number almost every single drawing lol. Actually, 023 has been drawn 3 times in Ohio: 11-26-81, 9-23-83, 1-7-84.

The last hit came 9,532 games ago! Thats similar to seeing a single digit out in a specific position for 95 draws. I think shes gonna hit before the year is out.

After looking at your excellent data, I played a hunch on 023 because its never been drawn.

When 123 hit and the 230 appeared in the Pick-4, it reminded me why I only play the Ohio Pick-3 once every five years.

A little of both, however I have not come across anything specific that mentions Quantum Lottery Theory. As the name suggest, there are some similarities to Quantum Mechanics. I've posted some of the equations and other related material here at LP.

Is there any way to mix the two kinds of probabilities? I know that the probability to see the digit 2 having made it out 87+ games is quite rare (this rarity is, of course, before the first of those 87 trials started)...and that even though it is out 87 games now, that the real probability is stil .65132 over the next ten draws and .10 for each of the individual draws.

Thoth,

You bring up a good point about probabilities. Most people can't understand this, but there are two kinds of probabilities, continuous and instantaneous. The common term of skip/hit refers to a continuous probability that operates over a number of intervals like time, draw or index. The other is the probability in a single drawing, or the instantaneous probability that operates in a single interval of time, draw or index. Continuous probabilities refer to the probability of an outcome... [ More ]

The digit 2 has not been drawn in Position-Two (in Ohio) for 87 consecutive games now! This is at least a new second place longest-out record for a digit in Position-Two. The largest POS-2 skip on record for Ohio is 94 games. This digit should hit very, very soon...unless of course it keeps going and takes over the #1 spot and bumps that 94 down into second. Who knows, we'll have to wait and see. Until it hits, here are the current records for all three of the Ohio Pick 3 Positions:

POS... [ More ]
