A friend could FORGET to put in the $1 in which case I&#x27;d still share, honest mistake, or they have a habit of promising to pay something and then not in which case they&#x27;re not only off the ticket but off my list of friends! I can almost guarantee that no court would rule that this was a legal contract. 			<description><![CDATA[<p>MegaWinner...wasn&#x27;t the movie  It Could Happen To You  about a policeman who after eating at a restaurant didn&#x27;t have money for a tip and said to the waitress if he wins on the ticket he has on him he will split it with her?  I don&#x27;t think there was any money exchanged between the two parties involved, just a promise to share if the ticket won in lieu of a tip.<br /><br />This doesn&#x27;t really affect the premise you described, only the PS portion.</p>]]></description>

I think the person knew they didn&#x27;t have a dollar from the beginning and thought I would front them.  The agreement was also that they would sign the back of the ticket next to my name when they paid the dollar thus making the  contract  complete.</p>]]></description>

You clearly bought the ticket with the intent that you would be co-owners with equal shares. At that point the coworker owns half of the ticket.
