I hope I wasn't misunderstood, Sean. I was actually writing in your defense saying that most Independent Film makers are NOT in it for the money, but are artists. Sure I like special effects, but I think many of the big productions often substitute technology for good writing. I used to frequent small theaters in Boston and Cambridge and saw many fascinating films, both American Foreign and enjoyed a variety of film genres. Try using a different web browser. I see you are using Safari on a Mac. Safari is only partially supported with the text editor, especially with the older version used in the private message system. (The forums use a newer version of the text editor.)

Install and use Firefox for Mac, and you should cease to have problems. Of course, you could also use a PC, but most Mac users would consider that sacrilege.

I've been a member since 2001 and there may have been other threads like this, but the ever-vigilant LP community doesn't allow BS posts to progress too far. You can see that for yourself from some of the replies...checking your references.

A documentary on lottery winners would be interesting to see and to be a part of the project would be fun. Wish I had a good story to tell....

I'd be interested in seeing this story somewhere sometime on TV or the Movies or wherever. My story is not that exciting but they are welcome to mention it. I have an elaborate program that I use to pick numbers and a few years ago (in its much more primitive form) it won 5 of 5 but the payout was small. If he wants to feature about people using systems vs. using QP he can mention that, or about how Lotteries are doing things to fight systems such as RNG drawings and switching ballsets around.... I am not disagreeing with you or promoting this project, however when it comes to most Independent Films, it's usually about the art first and the money last. Although right now, in my humble opinion, there are so many more important subjects to focus on than the lottery, but the lottery is more fun than studying world hunger, AIDS, war, serial killers, child molesters or mass shootings I suppose.

i can understand your concern and the concern of others. i think my first film, SPELLBOUND, is representative of my filmmaking approach. that is, i am not a tabloid or sensational filmmaker. as an example, during interviews, i try to create as comfortable an environment for the people participating in the film. if there are questions someone does not feel comfortable answering, then we move on to something else.

so, i upgraded to a premium membership and the site is loading much faster. but, i am still having a problem with responding to PM's. everytime i do so the recipient writes back to say they have received a blank note from me.

Lastly, i am going to mention that i feel they need to but easy games, like easy lotteries or Bingos around the world only for women...I feel very strongly about this...It is imperative they do this...I feel very very strong about this....Don't know how i forgot to mention it...

You have to type spellbound movie on yahoo and then you will see a website named S P E L L B O U N D you then click on it...

come up you then click on it...

Once you are on the website you click Launch...YOu click on filmmakers (this will be hard you may have to try it several times, and you may have to click on different things like clicking where it say: like the trailers, in theathers, festivals, pressnotes, etc for the filmmaker section to come up, i t... if there are any ways to make my intentions more transparent to this community i am open to trying them.

without developing a relationship of trust with the participants (parents, kids, spelling bee officials) i could not have made SPELLBOUND. the same is true for this film.

Again, to clarify, SPELLBOUND was nominated for an oscar, but did not win. However, it did win an emmy. After playing in theaters it screened on cinemax and then went to dvd. Most recently, it has been on ifc.

I produced and recorded sound on SPELLBOUND. I did not work on the Hitch film of the same name. I wasn t alive when that film was released.

Yes, that is what I said, isn't it? It was on TV a couple of years ago. It's also on DVD. I had to use hyphens for Mr. Hitchc--k's name because of the LP filters. I know they are 2 different movies. The first Spellbound was made 62 years ago, so Mr. Welch would have to be very old if he was its producer!!

Perhaps there's a reason his subject says Oscar nominated instead of Oscar winning ? In the post that I read he clearly said that he's one of the producers. There's obviously a chance he isn't who he says he is, but assuming you can get google on your computer it's easy enough to see if there are any obvious holes in his story.

Something else i forgot to say is: I will suggest to the film maker of a lottery movie...The movie could be like the same style of a hacker...I think they should call the lottery movie Hacker but the kid doesn't hack computers but instead he hacks the lottery: )lol...I think it will sell..

If is true and what this guy is saying is true, I never thought LP would get to this point...

If there is something i'll like to tell people on TV is that i believe that the lottery could perhaps be won with the use of a supercomputer, a modest one will be one that can do 25 Billion Calculations per second...And that it could do simulations and other things and perhaps win the lottery...Maybe you may not be able to win Powerball, but you... That's as predictable as some LP member posting their lucky numbers were the winning numbers in a lottery drawing but they didn't win any money because someone else played them.

Unfortunately, simply having a good idea doesn't pay anything, it's the people who act on them and get lucky that make the money.
