point taken. The problem with the internet is old stories like this are seldom put on any web pages. Steve had many great adventures and was a true character in the sense of the word. He was like an idol to many of us teens of the era. While there are some web references to him many are probably inaccurate.

A guy that was high did drove an army tank through the streets in real life couple of years ago...I was on the program COPS ...He was later arrested...I remember he smash an RV like it was a hamburger...LUckily there was no one in the RV...

I don't think you need to know the exact number to win, you just need to know the pattern and play all of them.

Glad you used the word rumor since I doubt that ever happened. He was in the Marines and drove a tank. Maybe the story is he went out at night and got tanked and someone decided to embellish a few details. I was a big Steve McQueen fan. Papillon is one of the best movies ever made.

it a long standing rumor that Steve McQueen once drove a fully armed tank down the street. He left the base where he was stationed. It was how he got discovered and later became an actor.

On another note: No one can crack the lottery RNG code. Even if you knew which computer they were going to be using for a particular draw. Maybe you think too much. Could it be that what they were talking about is underground gambling?

If I understand correctly, what you meant by crakering down lottery is to correctly guess the RND pattern of a computor drawn lottery. I think I heard a story like that, in which a professor hit the JP twice using the pattern he figured. The whole thing brought out a law suit and the professor won.

In the street gangs (specially black comunity) you would hear terms like that...YOu will also hear stuff like Someone took a tank to a Seven eleven ....I don't know if is a southern talk, a rich folks talk, or a street talk...

I used to think that Powerball couldn't be won, but now i am more confident it can be won...All you need to do is replicate (produce) a 5/5 match every so often, which is like 1 in 2.5 millions...

Bear in mind, that if enough people learned to beat the Lottery they'd force you to only get QP, at that point I'd throw in the towel. No such problem with Stocks!

There is a bit of difference between a hacker and Lotto guru ? I'm not retarded. I was just giving my take on computerized drawings, that's all. I've been trained in computer repair, networking, and programming. I know for a fact that hackers are not dumb and slow. They are very smart, that's why they can figure out the things they figure out. Targeting that post towards me is useless.

There is a bit of difference between a hacker and a Lotto guru. Hackers are good at writing code and figuring out ways around security methods, part of it being social engineering (i.e calling a company and impersonating someone to get inside information). It is a lot easier to read people and get around security systems because those are not as random as a Lottery is. I wish all lottery drawings were done with balls instead of computer. Indiana's lottery is computerized, but I still play it. The thing that amazes is that the number 11 in Hoosier Lotto RARELY gets drawn. It was drawn on Saturday's drawing but the last time it was drawn before that was on 5/6/2006! That number will go months without being drawn. In fact, it gets picked so rarely that I decided to not even allow it in any of my picks. So now I'm playing 6/47 instead of 6/48. I have seen all those statements by computerized lotteries. To any good programmer it really BS, because any code inserted into the process would be hidden until it needs to operate, and then it would delete itself.

There is a simple fact about computerized drawings: there is absolutely NO WAY to be 100% sure that it is not rigged.

On the other hand, traditional lottery drawings CAN be examined to be sure they are not rigged.

A while back I bought a so called method of making very easy money in the lottery. It cost me 60 bucks. At the time, I didn't know this guy was, and still to this day ( I don't know how he still gets away with this) is being allowed to sell his illegal method.

I think he gets away with it, because he has a disclaimer at the end of his report saying that he, in no way is advocating breaking the law. This is after a very detailed explanation on how to hack the system...

So I suppose the word hacker these days can also refer to someone who isn't committing a crime. I still stand firm on my belief that a person cannot hack into the lottery's computer to win a game where balls are drawn, and also that people who can program or create codes aren't slow or dumb.

Pumpi, and anyone else here who is trying to redefine hacking - you can call a horse a cow but you still can't make it moo. Hacking is defined as accessing information without proper authorization, from a computer. It doesn't matter if it's from a college database to access an exam or the CIA. It's still illegal. One obviously has more serious consequences than the other, but both of them are punishable by Law.

Hacking into someone's computer is totally different than trying to break the code of chaos. Hacking is a process that has been successfully made into a science. Lottery manipulation for one's own success on a regular basis is still in it's infancy.
