Pardon some folks manners as they take the negative route in responding.

Firstly its not uncommon to be caught up in the *They are richer-so give to the lesser folks* mentality when one is going thru hard times. I applaud you for your truthful expression of frustration. Its not for us to judge your feelings . They are what they are. Ignore folks who just toss antedotes of Get a better job or deal with it mentality. As a single parent who Im sure is doing the best

What should really worry you is that their vote counts the same as yours.

I wish. Arkansas gets 6 votes in the electoral college, which is about 1 for every 450,000 residents. In NY we get about 1 vote for every 630,000 people, making his presidential vote worth about 40% more than mine. If he moves to one of the states with only 3 votes his vote could be worth about 3 votes in NY (or a handful of other states with large populations).

Anybody remember the movie California Split or California Suite with Elliot Gould?

He and another friend are gamblers and hit a cold streak where they can't win a bet......then they go to the track and hit a few ponies.

When they get out to their car in the parking lot, there's a stick up man. Elliot Gould looks at his friend and says, You believe this, finally win a bet and now this. Then he looks at the guy and counts out $500 and says, Get out of here.

My observation is that its like bingo... nobody ever comments on how much you lose, but they certain take attention when you win. If they day arrives where one of us members wins something good, you'd hope you could just get the thousands of dollars you spent into winning it back. You'd be lucky to just help yourself, and if you can helps others good, but to recover the cost of what you play is luck enough.

Most people who are rich are rich because they took the extra steps to get there. Anybody can do it, even you can. It's really a matter of determination. Instead of complaining about not being rich, you need to become more ambitious. Maybe you can come up with an invention that you think a lot of people would like to use and patent it and then sell it.
