These are good descriptions. Everyone has their own interpretation, but I would think your descriptions would be a good start for anyone.

i agree,if i really like a topic now i'll give it 4 stars.one thats run of the mill maybe three.five stars has to be a very good classic article.here is how i would do the ratings....

5 stars--a rating you might use a couple times a month.that classic absolutely great topic that is very hard to top and very enjoyable.

4 stars--that rating where you see a topic that is good and consistent and has useful information.you use this one probably quite a few times throughout the week.

If you want to make the star ratings truly useful, don't always rate everything you like as 5 stars!

I've been noticing an over-abundance of 5-star ratings, especially in the Pick 3 forum. For many, a post will either get 5 stars, or won't get rated at all. That's not really going to help anyone.

If you reserve 5 stars for special topics, you will have a much more useful rating system.
