In a recent trip to my regular 7-11 store to get my evening tickets, a gentleman who was blind used the atm. It printed his cash receipt out in braille and he questioned the clerk. Asked her why he was charged a fee for just checking his balance. I was totally in awe in that moment. The clerk politely answered that it was a new bank and they in essence charged the store so the store had to recoup the *rental* of the machine. He is seeking attention. Could careless about the game(s). He thrives on the attention. You might change his focus when you ask him to sign his tickets over to you the next time he plays, you like cashing in his winners. LOL.

People do things all the time that make no sense, like, why is there braille at an ATM drive-thru?

I actually know the answer to this one. It's because they mass produce the keypads and instead of mmaking special non-braille ones for use at ATMs they just send the standard ones to all users.

Just like Hearsetrax said, why do people do anything?

Take the example of the cereal brand.. Grape Nuts ...No grapes and no nuts....

I would've loved to be a fly in that think tank room when the majority voted what to call the cereal.

If he has to be in the action from what you describe then he could be a gambling addict. My guess is he might be aware if someone won the jackpot and in what state. I usually don't check my tickets if I know I didn't win the jackpot. I don't buy tickets unless the jackpot is very high though and would know if I won the first or second prize in either MM or PB. Smaller prizes just make it cheaper to play.

Long distance opinion: couple possibilities, nottoobrightism, bi-polarism, or AADD (adult attention deficit disorder). I know a several individuals that cannot focus on any activity that requires attention or follow-thru for more than several minutes, they range in age from 11-54 years.

We have a friend who absolutely can not not be in on a jackpot drawing.

Illinois is MM so he plays that, if the PB jackpot is up he asks everybody he meets in the course of a day if they're going to Missouri.

If he does get PB tickets he doesn't get exteneded play.

Here's the zinger- he never checks his tickets.

We've given him the 800 number for results, he gets the paper every day, which has the lotto results in it for three states, but he never checks his tickets.
