No problem. I began inputting my observations in excel too; from pick 3 to pick 5, now with the new section for all even/odd, it's addicting to see all the patterns in colorful, easy to spot for analyst. Let me know if you find the pattern for eve/odd and the common group, and its popularity.

Hey thanks man. That is a very interesting way of looking at it too. Now I could cover more combinations for the same amount of money because I have less #'s to mess with. And the more tickets I buy the better my odds become yet still. For example, If I played only 12 EVEN or ODD #'s at 1/792 but bought 20 tickets for $5.00 then my chances of winning $25,000 would be 1/39.6. VERY Good Odds but remeber the hard part is getting all odd or even and having those all odd or evens be in my 12 # group... [ More ]

Playing all even would be 1 in 6,188. Same for all odd. To reduce more numbers try looking for patterns that shows up, first put the numbers in groups. 2,4,6,8 in group A. 10,12,14,16 in group B. 18,20,22,24 in group C. 26,28,30,32,34 in group D. Track them to see which 3 groups shows up more, ABC? ABD? ACD? BCD? you'll find that one of the three group will show up more on all even or all odd, and you can safely reduce 4 more numbers on the group that is not in the 3 groups. If ABC shows up 70... First of all, I want to say thank you for such a great thread!! It is very informative and interesting.

Here in Virginia, our CASH 5 is a game of 5/34 balls. Therefore, on days all ODD or EVEN hit our odds for 1 ticket is 1/6,199 compared to 1/278,000+ mixed combinations and they draw 2 times a day 7 days a week. However, our tickets only cost .25 cents a play. 3/5 pays $1.25 4/5 pays $25 but 5/5 pays $25,000!

Gary Player actually produced a system in the early 90's based partly on your theory. His sytem produced a full 6 number Lotto hit either all odd or all even after 6 months of one week draws. It requires wheeling and about $40 over the 3 drawings. I remembered it worked. He actually won the NY lotto with it. I not promoting him here, just repeating the theory.

Actually...it's one of the methods I use currently for NY's daily Pick 10. It's a shame most of you across the country don't have this game to work with.

Every night. Enough odd AND even balls are drawn independantly to produce a grand prize. Tonight, ten odd or ten even balls (or both) will be drawn....guaranteed!

I wish I had folks on here to discuss strategy with. If someone was able to help me with a strategy, I would compensate them

I don't think I would use this method on a game like Powerball or Megamillions. I think it would be better used on a Pick 5 game with less numbers.

Discounting the logistics of such an ... undertaking

32,000 people * $15/mo = $480,000, so you would need the method to win at least that much...

1,000 people * $15/day * 30 days = $450,000, ditto.

...of course what a lot of people do is just collect the money and say they bought the tickets.

That makes it a winning system for the pool organizer.

What I really need is organizational skills. LOL

There are over 65,000 Lottery Post members here. The chances of winning several days a year when ALL ODD numbers are draw are only 15,504 to 1 .

If I could organize a POOL of about half the members here ......we could all play for about .50 cents a day !

Every one who comes to LP want to win a lottery. If you don't want to be bother with giving a little thought to the combinations you play then buy some quick picks.

If you want to try your hand as predicting a winners then do what some other LP members are doing, start tracking the games you play, get a feel for how the numbers are falling and start predicting. I tinkered with tracking the 5 game in S.C..

I used my lottery software for the pick 3 and 4 game for the tracking so I could not track all 5 at once.

Well any how. During my tracking phase when I was doing it I was looking for details like you are talking about with the even odd probability. I was able to find four of the five probabiltites. [ I was positional tracking of the numbers as listed after the draw.

So any how I pretty much had it where the probability would show like 2 even

Playing everyday......or gambling that your group will hit on a specific day ....or any given day. If you always play the same numbers form the same group your gonna' be right .... on those days At least your be closer than most of the other people that don't play that way or use MIXED numbers.

If you knew what the arithmetic relationships between the individual numbers were going to be on any given day, it would be relatively easy to win, whether or not they were all multiples of 3. That is the delta system.

Multiple of 3 have 1287 combinations which is 1287/575757 or 0.22% of all the possible combinations. 0.22% of 365 days equals 0.8 of a day which means one of those combinations could be expected to hit 4 times in 5 years.

But..... That group should end up falling .....around 4 times a year...average.

If you limited your numbers to multiple of 3 in a 5/39 game then you would limit your number pool to thirteen numbers or 1287 possible combinations, but that wouldn't reduce your odds of winning to 1:1287

Of the 1255 drawings of Ohio Rolling Cash5(5/39) only 2 had 5 numbers that were multiple of 3.

For those interested in the math and statistics here are some universal truths. Not only for pick-5 but other lottery games as far the number pool you use ......and the possible combinations that that gives us.

Based on your experience and win record your saying ...

If you get 4 out of 5 numbers right in the Fantasy-5 (Florida) you win $80-100 bucks .....but, if you don't get all 5 of the numbers correct then you can not win the whole enchilada. You can win a little money if you get a few numbers, but that's not even close to winning the whole enchilada.

What the heck does this mean? I've gotten 4 out of 5 in Fantasy-5 (Florida) 6 times since Aug 07 and close doesn't count. You either win about $80-$100 bucks or you win the whole enchilada. There is no close.

It was gratifying to find the number was 37 All odd hits during that time.... a little better than the expected math average we calculated up there of 32 hits. Still .... + or - about in range ....pretty good.

Between the All odds and All evens during that time we should have averaged 59 hits for both groups in Ohio.

That was also gratifying since the real world hits were totaled 62 h... [ More ]

All this strategy is interesting, however, so far in Illinois Little Lotto for 2008, also a 5/39 game, the results have been:

80 Jackpots

65 QP

43 PS

This includes shared jackpots. There's a jackpot an average of every 2.66 days, call it every third day, and as you see most of gone to quick picks.

As far as odds reduction , in sp[orts betting it takes a winning percentage of 52.6% to overcome the bet 11 to win 10 vigorish, yet most people are losers.

The human mind sees the winner and the pattern. It's not so good at seeing all the losers in that same pattern. That's why being able to do even a little programming has value. You can test ideas far more complex than what you could do on paper, and detect and correct those flaws that would otherwise get by you.

I track all Ohio jackpot games but I usually only play RC5 when it's $300K+, I've been working on picking numbers for MegaMillions. I usually play 10-20 lines using a pool of 30-40 numbers without much luck yet even when I have four or more winning numbers in the pools.

Ohio now have OhioCash5 every day of the week. Since I used all even numbers in the above, you can flip the results to get the answer for all odd numbers (20 numbers odds = 1:15504)/ there were 37 drawings with all odd numbers

You would probably be better off to find other ways to reduce your number pool, for example only using numbers that hit 5-7 times during the previous 50 drawings. When I applied this parameter to the Ohio Rolling Cash5 file the number pools were reduced to

Hmmm RJOH.... ohio results are way below the normal expected hit rate of around 2% a year for ALL evens. Of course .... I am figuring draws 365 days a year too..... Different states may not draw each day. Still...the percents should stay the same regardless of draw amounts.

Curious ..... was the All ODD rate as bad as that one ...the evens?

The hit rate on those All ODDs ....should be averaging about 2.6 % a year.

The odds of a 5/39 game are 1:575,757 unless you have all the winning numbers in a pool of 19 numbers(1:11,628).

When I look at the last 1254 drawings of Ohio Rolling Cash5, there were only 20 drawings with all even numbers and 177 drawings with 4 of 5 even numbers.

TOTAL HITS EVEN NUMBERS (OHIO ROLLING CASH5)

MATCH 0 = 37

MATCH 1 = 217

MATCH 2 = 428

MATCH 3 = 375

MATCH 4 = 177

MATCH 5 = 20

Because at this point and knowledge level....thats what I needed. In my limited experience and no software....lower odds plays is all I have right now anyway.

If you're using a system that clearly defines the parameters of the numbers in your number pool and the number of combinations you play then you can figure out how likely the winning numbers would have been in the pool and if they had a chance of matching two or better in any of the combinations you played.

Even if you had all the winning numbers in your pool you would have to be lucky to have two or more of the winning numbers on the same line if you just played a few lines.

Thanks CarBob ....you give me too much credit really. I really do think that its better to go after the best odds and know on those particular days anyway .......you were really really close. At least compared to all the ones that didn't have a snowballs that day.

Yeap... 95% better odds is hard to beat. That's my best shot at a working filter system anyway ...... as an outsider.

It looks to me as if playing at all mixed combinations .....you really never know how close you were to a win ....unless you hit one or two numbers. Other than a hit ......how close were you on your other tickets ?? There is no way to Gage the level of how close they were.

Let's just say you played 20 tickets and hit on 3 of them ..... 1 number hit on one .... 1 on the 2nd.... and 2 on the 3rd. and the other 17 tickets you hit nothing.
